LOCATION & ATMOSPHERE:  Across from the river access point on Mira Del Rio Drive. Spacious open setup with trees lining the boundary and an open field large enough to play fetch with any size dog. Visited by friendly dog owners and families mostly. FOOD & DRINK:  No food nearby. There are a couple of water fountains and the one near the basketball court has a doggy bowl attached to it. AMENITIES: -Large open field -Picnic tables -Tennis court with 2 nets -Basketball court with 2 goals -2 jungle gyms -Swing set with adult and toddler seats -Standalone book exchange -multiple trash cans -Sidewalks circling the interior of the park and leaving from one side to the other to separate entrances EXPERIENCE:  I love coming to this park. I walk my dog here daily and she has plenty of friends to play with and that huge open field. The neighbors are friendly and the families are fun. The kids are well behaved and there's so much to do and so much space at the park You can say hey passing by or avoid people all together just by choosing a direction to walk in. The park is well maintained by the recreational crew from the state. They come out in and pick up fallen debris from trees, and replace and replant trees. The trash cans are always emptied and there isn't a lot of trash around the park anyway. Randomly I'll see a plate or a can, but looks pretty pristine on the regular. The park is green year round and most of the trees maintain their leaves. The ones that do drop their leaves present the most beautiful fall colors. Making snow, I mean leaf angels is movie-like. The sidewalks that lead around the interior of the park wrapping the tennis court and leading from one side to the other are quite large. I'd say they were about three people wide if not for. You can walk with two people side by side and someone riding a bike past without any worry. Definitely an amenity of the neighborhood that is underrated and overlooked! Only true downfall is that this park doesn't have a bathroom. Could be five stars with that addition, but it's hard to stay here for a long period of time without the ability to relieve oneself.

Levy Park is one of many children's parks in Folsom that is extremely easy to access from the…read moreWillow Creek Bike Trail. An auxiliary path behind the park leads directly down to the trail. The park is shaped like an L, with the vertical part of the L being the basketball court, and the horizontal part being a small field and medium sized playground. The playground features multiple slides, tunnels, ladders, fireman's poles, and 4 swings (2 toddler & 2 regular). It's very similar to the main playground at City Park, but slightly better. Several picnic tables are set up under the shade of planted trees, and a large barbecue pit is available. Dogs are allowed on leashes. Posted park hours are from 7am until one hour after sunset. Video surveillance is in effect 24/7. Levi Park sits on a bluff above a valley that was historically used for gold dredging. Educational signs in the park show pictures of dredges, but it's still hard to imagine one sitting in that valley. From the back of the park, looking down, one can see railroad tracks which are still used on rare occasions. The Willow Creek Bike Trail actually runs right next to them. From down below, this bluff is one of my favorites for photographing wildflowers in spring. In addition to the multiple benches set up around the playground, several benches are set up just in front of the bluff, facing the view.

Although I didn't see a bathroom but there might be I just wasn't looking for one. I did see a homeless man where the picnic tables were. Just keep a close eye on your children. He wasn't bothering anyone, very quiet and to himself. You can never be too cautious though.

The second structure for little children has a tunnel and both areas have swings. There's also a good amount of paths for bikes and scooters. Right next to a school, there's also another play area and basketball courts with some hoops that are lower for small children. Plenty of grass space and surprise, surprise, the bathrooms are pretty clean for a park. We went on a Sunday and it was pretty empty. No crowds. Enjoyed this park and will definitely be back.

First the park has a paved walkway, which extends throughout the park. Secondly the park has two play area for children to play. One for the younger children as well as one for the older children. Both play areas have slides, swings and climbing structures. The park has a shaded picnic area and multiple picnic locations scattered through the park. It also has an multi-use open space area large enough for multiple soccer games. I was impressed on the overall appearance and cleanliness of the park ! The grass was mowed, the shrubs neatly manicured, and all the equipment in great shape and in working order. I was quite surprised to find no reviews on Yelp ! Did I let the cat out of the bag?
