The prior review in my personal opinion, is written by a spoiled 'thinks they are better than…read moreanyone else' brat, who should take a lesson in entitlement from some one who attended the campus before they got there and decided to throw a fit because they have to wear a uniform. This school isn't the greatest, its been somewhat underfunded for a while, and just like any hard workers they manage. What is perfect in our country now a days I mean not much.. My experience was for the vast majority pleasant. Just like life, you get back the effort you put forth. These are morals we should be passing down to our children from the beginning of their lives. As an alumni who played 4 years of starting football, who stuck to a close knit group of non-football friends, who enjoyed his classes taught by veteran teachers, and watched countless peers complain and moan about the school, while not putting forth any effort to succeed themselves, this school is great. They are working on a new addition to the cafe, in which students are aloud to use electronic devices such as laptops, phones, and tablets. They have recently redone the entire indoor track and field house flooring, have indoor weight rooms, a good sized pool with showers, completely redone tennis courts, and one of the oldest yet largest and nicer looking brick football stadiums in the chicagoland area. I hope those choosing to attend find their time there pleasant and rewarding. They are some of the most important years of your life. Don't waste them! -Tim 2009 Grad PS: To the prior "current student reviewer", please remember that, when claiming to be too mature for something, its best not to back it up with a bitchy rant that holds no truth to the schools efforts in education, and rather your unwillingness to follow dress code.

Naperville North High School is a nationally recognized high school located in Naperville District…read more203. This high school has a very diverse group of students, teachers, and staff. There is a club for just about any/every interest. The school is very large and competitive on both an academic and sports level. NNHS offers tons of options for career exploration so students can tap into their interests and find out where they may want to go after high school. For many coming out of NNHS this means getting a college degree however NNHS does educate students on options outside of the traditional college route. NNHS provides students with the tools necessary to be successful in and after high school.

The gym is a full basketball court that can hold 1 volleyball net. For spectators, there's room on the stage or they would go upstairs in the seating area. I'm guessing it can hold about 50-100 people... They recently refinished the gym floor so it looks nice and shiny. An average size parking lot that sometimes they allow public spectators whose kids are playing in the baseball fields next door to park if there's no more street parking. It's a typical private school, not really updated building/classrooms. It's better than driving into the city at another grade school gym and fight the traffic just to play volleyball.

My cousin use to come here. This is one High School that creates competitive students. They have a…read morereally tough football team and every year they show their commitment. What I do like about this school is that it seems to (contrary to popular demand) cater to their students in a way that many public schools seem to miss. They really take their kids seriously, and although they have a bad rap, it doesn't seem this way to parents. They have a football field (a few blocks away from the school) and the kids are always practicing. The actual school is still in its vintage look, but with modern updates to make sure that they are still caught up with other schools. I use to come around to pick up relatives who went here and often times I would volunteer. All in all, not a bad school, just that sometimes a few rufians mess up the reputation but the school can stand on its own.

If you attend this school, you will be ready for college and managing the issues involved with larger schools. It is imperative that students look for ways to self-advocate and imperative to get involved in clubs or other activities. Parents will need to be more involved to help with a 4-year plan to use the many options available at the school. The music program is excellent in all areas, choir, orchestra and band... the athletic opportunities are strong (although if you are a casual player, you may not make Varsity or JV)... the clubs can sometimes fill up too much and they have to have try-outs. It can be frustrating to be 'locked out' of an opportunity, but it is good learning for life in general. Best wishes as you choose high schools!

Kindercare care was clean, the staff seemed friendly and the hours were convenient for our work schedules. We thought we'd try it out and see how are daughter adjusted to the environment. Before moving to DG we had a nanny and we wanted her to have exposure to other children. It's been over a year now and we're very happy with the care our daughter has received. Our daughter loves going their each day and is learning a lot from their lesson plan. The staff is very proactive in addressing issues; though we have had very few. If a parent has a concern, they respond and follow up immediately. I don't agree that the staff are overwhelmed. With a classroom of 2 year olds it's going to be a bit noisy. But, the staff is great at settling the mood of the room. Since the first week, I have felt at ease and confident that my daughter is getting the best care possible. I highly recommend considering the DG Kindercare.

Jones College Prep is 100 on the US NEWS and WORLD REPORT Top 100 High Schools…read more I am so grateful for Jones College Prep, from which my eldest daughter graduated last night and from which my younger daughter will graduate in two years. For those of you who believe you must move to the suburbs to obtain a quality education for your children, it just ain't so!! Jones is small (700 students), academically rigorous as a public "Selective Enrollment School" (granted, with highly competitive admissions), and its most unique quality, remarkable diversity: 30% Hispanic, 24% White, 24% Black, 11% Asian, 8% Native American (in Chicago!), and 4% Multiracial. Here is one astonishing factoid that speaks volumes about the quality of education at Jones, and the depth and talent of the 200+/- member Class of 2008. Collectively, these kids were awarded $11.14 million in scholarships. That's something like $55,000 per student. Here is a representative list of the caliber of colleges represented by this year's graduating class: Bard, Barnard, Bennington, Carnegie Mellon, Coe, Cornell, Eugene Lang, MIT, NYU, Oberlin, Purdue, University of Chicago, University of Wisconsin - Madison, Wellesely, and many more. Not all public schools suck.
