Visited this establishment this morning to sell some placer gold, a half ounce of flakes and 5…read moregrams of #4 nuggets. They tested my gold and it topped out at 20k which is currently at $190 to $200 dollars per pennyweight. There are 1.555 grams to each pennyweight so at the current price I should have been paid somewhere around $1,983 dollars at $150. A pennyweight. Instead I received $1,360 dollars. This is fraud and anyone thinking about doing business here needs to run the other direction.

I took it to another local place for a second opinion, and got SIX TIMES over what Grizzly Gold and Silver offered. That is quite a BIG difference. STAY AWAY from this place. Oh, and also when I initially presented the lot to him, he seemed to not have the time or care to even really look and inspect the pieces. He glanced through (without opening) the clear plastic containers I had organized most of the pieces (earrings, chains, rings etc.) in, and then he callously cast it aside saying it "looks like mostly costume" to him. He was not sensitive to the loss of my mother at all, and after leaving the whole lot with him for a couple of hours (which looking back now, wasn't smart on my part) he called back with a very low and pathetic offer. I ended up being very emotional after leaving the shop. I was very worried about having left the entire lot in his possession, so he could "hopefully make time this afternoon" to go through it. After rejecting his offer over the phone, and being in a very unsettled and emotional state; I had to send my husband back to his shop to pick up my mother's treasures. I will NOT do business again with this business. I will be sure to tell everyone I know to steer clear of this place. I am filing a complaint with the BBB as well.

I was crushed because we were waiting to tell the family until we had the ring sized. The gal (I believe her name is Michelle) went and spoke with the goldsmith and they were able to expedite it so I could have my ring by that evening! I was overjoyed! I even got the call that it was done before the anticipated time, so I could get it back sooner. It is stunning, and my fiancee said they were so easy to work with in the design process, as well. I look forward to continuing to do business with them for many years to come.
