The restaurant is impeccable. We were taken into a sitting room to enjoy pre-dinner drinks where our orders were taken. Once our meals were ready to be served, we were taken to the dining room to be treated to a gourmet 4 course dinner that was our best meal during our 2 weeks in Ireland. The service was friendly and excellent. I felt like an Irish nobleman on his country estate during my entire stay. Best 5* property we have experienced in Ireland.

This review is for the surrounding forest park which stretches along the Torrent River. It's lovely to be able to walk through the deer park with its herd of beautiful white deer. Otherwise the forest unfortunately feels very run down and badly maintained. Benches lie broken and areas are fenced off and what looks like an access road looks to have been plowed through recently really destroying the feeling of enclosure of the forest. The place should be a gem but is unfortunately a bit of a let down.
