I would not recommend this dance school. They are careless with safety and take no first aid…read moremeasures when a student is injured. I just took a trial Afro Jazz class at Faray's and a student doing a pirouette punched me in the nose while turning, giving me a bloody nose, knocking out my contact lens, and injuring my eye. Neither the teacher nor the receptionist offered me any assistance, not even ice for my nose. The teacher failed to organize the students in a way to minimize injury despite there being too many students for the size of the room to all dance at once. I'm 65 years old, from New York City, and have taken dance classes for over 50 years. Never has anything like this happened before. The receptionist even tried to lie and say that it's recommended not to wear contact lenses in dance class. Besides that being a discriminatory statement to a visually impaired person, it's a ridiculous lie as I studied dance on Broadway in New York, among other places, and know that not to be true. These people are irresponsible in my oponion and this dance school is unsafe because of the negligence of those running it.

The gym is definitely my safe place...especially after traveling and gorging on delicious food…read morearound the world. This gym saved me on my most recent trip to Barcelona, Spain. Situation just across the park near Born district. Seeing a familiar gym with English was definitely a warm welcoming. Trying to find a gym (weights, cardio machines, ect.) in Europe is tougher than it seems. My girlfriend and I came here on the tail end of our European "food" tour. A much needed place to put all those carbs to good use. The gym was perfect and quaint. Had plenty of cardio equipment. Treadmills, stairs, and bikes. Had enough weights for the amount of people in there. They even had two squat racks and a deadlifting setup. TV's all over with ok music in the background. The gym trainers that signed us up for our 4 day pass were extremely friendly and spoke great English (our Spanish isn't). For a place to get a great workout in Barcelona, I would highly recommend. Definitely a great place for locals and even tourists like ourselves.
