As dismayed as I was to hear that Peacehealth sold their labs to Quest Diagnostics, I was hopeful…read morethat the efficient, cheerful, accurate services previously performed by Peacehealth would carry over to Quest. Um, nope. Not even close. A few weeks ago a loved one needed a "stat" blood test to see if a serious infection might be present. Because his doctor's office was right across the street from Quest's location in the "Bunker Building" outside the hospital, we walked right over for a blood draw. And then we waited. And waited. And waited. Even though there were only two other patients present in the waiting room on this weekday afternoon, we waited for over an hour for this blood draw. But that wasn't the worst of it. The test was supposed to be run right away, so that we could make a decision about the severity of my loved one's symptoms. In fact, there was a chance that hospitalization might be required depending on the outcome. Our physician assured us that as soon as she heard back from Quest she would contact us, and that at most it would be three hours. So we headed home and waited for her call. FOUR hours later, she called. She was very dismayed. After trying several times to get ahold of Quest, she found out they had "accidentally" sent my loved one's STAT blood test to Seattle. Apparently, instead of blood tests being run locally as they were when Peacehealth ran the lab, Quest sends the blood to their main facility in Seattle. But stat labs are supposed to stay and be run in Bellingham. This was a huge oops, with potentially life-threatening consequences. We waited several more anxious hours until his blood was located and the test was run - in fact the call from our doctor did not come until well after midnight. For a "stat" test that had been ordered before 4pm. I absolutely will do everything in my power not to use Quest labs if at all possible. I can only hope other peoples' lives aren't being put in danger by their poor service.

I attempted to call to schedule the appointment, but the voicemail indicated a 48-hour callback policy. Since I was required to complete my physical within that same 48-hour window, I did not want to risk missing the deadline and therefore made the drive to the clinic in person. When I arrived, there were multiple receptionists in the back who could have answered my call but did not. The receptionist who assisted me informed me that I would need to speak with the individual responsible for scheduling physical appointments. I waited for her to come out; she asked a few questions and then returned to the back. When she returned, she appeared disorganized and stated that she was unable to schedule me for that day. Her name is June Hathaway. I found her demeanor to be condescending and unprofessional.

I signed in at a mobile kiosk with my driver's license and insurance card. A few minutes later I was in the back with a friendly young phlebotomist. She was super patient with me (I have difficult veins) and I have to say she is one of the best I have dealt with in recent years. What could be easier? Nothing! Very clean, nice parking lot with lots of spots. Safe area. My new go to lab yay!

She was moved though from a lab next to my doctor's office though, to a lab inside Safeway. It took a bit to track her down, but when someone is that good, you find them! When they eventually found the sample, they said it was contaminated (because they went through the vein) and said she should just come back in to have it redone. I drove her to Bellevue to an experienced tech with a different company, rather than put her through that again. After she nearly fainted post draw and they offered her nothing we decided anywhere else would be better than Quest. If 0 stars was possible that's what i would give this establishment.

Most of my physicians use different labs, so it has been a long time since I came to a Quest facility. It was bad then, but soooooooo much worse now! Quest has been quite ingenious in creating a system which encourages a passive aggressive, unkind, disrespectful, rude, demeaning attitude in their employees. I came home in tears and will die of what ever ails me before returning to a Quest lab.

They were professional; courteous, thorough and overall very helpful. My cut healed up just fine and they did a great job applying/removing the 15 stitches I needed. Did I have to wait forever? Yeah. There's a thousand other people there all with varying conditions and levels of urgency. So that's understandable. But when it was my time to be seen, I couldn't have asked for better nurses or doctors to take care of me.

I had a family event coming up and wanted to know if my symptoms indicated I was positive for COVID and was assured that I would get results within 36 hours and probably closer to 24. I got my results back this morning--64 hours later! The reason cited--it was the weekend. I politely asked them to consider a refund and they flatly told me they don't give refunds. BTW, I tested negative and could have joined my family in lieu of being isolated all weekend! Also wasted $189!
