Not worth the 5 bucks! I stopped by here for the $5 car wash. It's was closed down last time I was through. I had to call the number to get someone out to help the person in front of me who first scrubbed his whole car. After waiting about 20 minutes for the guy with no clue but a clear phobia of asking for help we were ready to get a quick wash. All seemed good and we exited at the end and hit the highway to finish the boy so great blow dry at the end. Upon reaching my destination I examined the quality of the wash. I then renamed this the 5 year old car wash. My car was about 80% clean just missing bug areas here and there. Next time I'll just grab a brush and bucket at home. I had a horrible experience yesterday I went to go get gas. I passed the Chevron went to get gas not thinking about the price at Arco. I filled up my car. It was $113. I almost had a heart attack and looked at the receipt and it said 679 a gallon that was $2.50 More than any other gas station in the area or for that much any gas station in Oregon I don't know how it was legally OK to do and it's totally wrong. Staff said its been reported many times and nothing happens to them so it's perfectly fine. This place scammed us out of 100 bucks. Price isn't posted anywhere that you would see if you don't pump your own gas. There are signs that say that all pumps are attended and an employee will rush over to pump your gas so you don't see the price on the pump. Service was fine and our attendant was nice, but the price is just ridiculous, and completely dishonest. Wish I would have done a 5 second google search to see that this place is awful, but I never would have thought they'd be charging $6.69 per gallon! Lesson learned, I guess. The last time Woodburn Arco had fair market prices was when the ARCO was on the tiny corner lot on the main road. When ARCO moved to the upgraded location the prices jumped $.70 to WELL OVER $1 beyond market price, and it's remained abusively high ever since. Deceptive, abusive, sneaky, fraudulent, all apply to this specific ARCO location. This is the ONLY ARCO I've experienced this out of hundreds, so I'm convinced it MUST BE THE OWNER of this location specifically. Any argument that this owner pays this % more cost for gas can not be justified by facts, and I'm willing to testify about it having been a customer for decades (until a few fill ups at the new station). Stopped by to get gas after checking google on nearby gas stations, it shows online $2.799 per gallon for regular and Arco is known for being a bit cheaper than others. I was schooled to see $3.799 per gallon on regular. Went into store to check, was told they are entitled to name their own pricing. Their big sign Arco conveniently had all pricing covered. Chevron across the street has regular at $2.89/gallon. Arco headquarter claimed they can't handle local site complaints and suggested reporting price gouging to State government. I will never go to this gas station again and will give up Arco chain for good. There has been multiple complaints about this gas station on Google review: they cover up their pricing under their big Arco sign and pricing is outrageously high. read more
