Stopped here for Gas because I kept getting gas from the same places: need to spread out the local love instead of sticking to Circle K, Covina all the time. Come to find out this Arco location turned out entertaining. They turned on Pop Radio music on the whole time I was getting gas earlier just now on 7/22/24.... Gas pricing here started at $4.29 from using credit cards to pay....which I got. I attached quite a bit of pics down below for references on the prices this week in Late July/2024. Robin is racist she accused me of trying to reuse an old car wash reciept to scam free vacuum when i purchased a ceramic wash hadnt gotten around to using my carwash and today i wanted to use it before it expired. She said i had to go through the carwash first i wanted to vacuum before going in like ive dont many times before. She did not make any of the other white customers do it this way. This is my usual go to gas station for inexpensive gas. They also have a car wash that works pretty well and the service is good. When I visited this afternoon around 5 PM the gentleman inside seemed to be trying to pull some kind of scam from the customers. I gave him $38 for gas and then cashed in some lottery. He never counted the $38 and put it to the side of a register. By the time I got to my pump he still had not put my gas in. I went back in and asked him to put the gas in, he put $30 in. I went back again and he said I didn't even count the money. He then said I will count it and add the additional eight. Something super fishy going on this afternoon. read more

This is a terrible place for checking tire air pressure. The inflator couldn't get a seal so I'm pretty sure I was losing more air than it was inflating. And the mechanic shop attached to the convenience store says they charge "$5 to check tire pressure," but according to the mechanic their equipment is broken so they can't even offer that. Go across the street and fill up your tires there instead, you'll have a much better time. read more

I went to the arco on grand Ave off the 10 freeway , Covina I think. I put $30 dollars on gas, bought a bag of puffed Cheetos small, a cranberry drink small, and one longhorn tobacco can, usually $4 other stores. Well my total came out to $49.50 or close to, it was 49 something,how the heck did three items come out to 20 dollars ???? It was an old man working Saturday around 4pm. Drive through car wash is lame. Pros: close to my house Cons: barely uses any soap to clean your car Apparatus looks run down and poorly maintained. Charges $1 extra for an SUV or truck. Don't ever get you car worked on here this guy ripped me off and wasn't even polite about it, all I needed was a jump because I left my lights on with a low battery and he wanted to charge me $100 dollars!! Today, I entered the Food Mart with my mask as directed by the sign on the door. As usual, the clerk did NOT wear a mask (and the protective shield is no longer in place). I asked her why she was not wearing one, frustrated by the notion that this is why we will never rid ourselves of this pandemic. Her response was that I could take off my mask if I would like!!!!! I paid for a car wash, had to return to the store to have her turn on the vacuums since she was too busy looking at her phone. This station always has problems. Today the pump count was running but i wasn't getting any gas. I went in to tell them and they came out to check the gas level in my car, and they decided everything was fine. So i left and wont be coming back here again. read more

Came at 12:30am and needed gas and lady made me go back and forth because the station wouldn't accept my card then said she needed the PIN of my card and wouldn't let me put it in myself and it was just ridiculous I'm taking my business to the 76 next door. Been coming here for years since this station is one of the best in the area for price. I have seldom gone inside since I usually pay at the pump. When I have gone inside, the staff have been only moderately helpful. I usually come in between 9 and 10 in the evening. On about 4 occasions the pumps were not working. Once the answer was something about there being a shift change. Another time it was something like the computer was down. People would try to get gas and it would fail. Then they would go inside and find out they could not get gas. Turn off the lights, put up a sign or alert people over the pump speaker that the pumps are not working. Do not be inconsiderate. I end up driving across the street and buying my gas at Unocal when the pumps are down. If this ARCO did not have such a good price and was not on a street I travel often, I would never bother stopping here again. read more

The lady who helped me was not that bright . She didn't know how to use the arco gift card I had , after showing her exactly how much money it had with the receipt I had . She kept telling me no and that it didn't have money . I went and used it 10 after at a different Arco and had no problem . She didn't want to give my her name but she was an Indian lady in her 40s . Warning: NO ONE SHOULD BE DISTRACTED WHILE PUMPING GAS!!!!! I was harassed by a guy selling some car cleaning spray that has a partnership with this Arco. I told him I wasn't interested!!! He wouldn't leave and started spraying my car as I was pumping gas. I told him I don't want to buy this. He wouldn't leave. Then the pump stopped, and he keeps talking. I was distracted and the gas nozzle flew THROWING GAS ALL OVER MY CAR AND ME. They did nothing. It BURNED so bad!!!! I rushed home and showered and call 911 of fear. I now have a very bad reaction to the gas. I went back to speak to the Manager and the people who harassed me. The women Manager pretended that she had know idea who these sales people were just minutes after she told my boyfriend that the station has a partnership with them. 3 Weeks ago I was involved in an incident at Arco #42303 @ 201 N Grand Ave. West Covina, CA. The way that it has been handled ( or not handled) by the owner of this location has been very unprofessional, unethical and is a very bad reflection on the type of people you allow to buy / run your businesses. This location has a car wash in the rear behind the store/garage. Typically when you pull into one of these car washes there is a machine at which you can pay cash and card. At this particular location there was no machine but a man scrubbing cars as they went into the car wash. I asked the man at the entry way if I could pay at the car wash since there was no machine. The man asked me if I was paying card or cash. I said card and he told me to get out and go pay inside. He said that while I was paying he would put my 2017 Ford Explorer through the wash and would meet me on the other side. I went in paid and walked over to the exit of the car wash. The man was standing there as my car began to exit. He did not say anything to me or give me any direction. The car that had previously finished in the wash was still parked just out of the way of the car wash track my car was on. As my car continued to feed through the man walked away without saying a word. As my car continued to feed out it became clear that it was not going to stop before running into the car that was parked just out of the car wash. So I stepped in front of it and stopped it. As I stopped it the car began to roll back into the car wash. I ran around to the driver's side door and pulled the handle. As I pulled the handle I slipped in a puddle falling to the ground banging my shin on piece of the car wash as well as dislocating my thumb on my left hand. I looked up just in time to see my open drivers side door hit a pole and bend all the way forward to the front wheel. There was more than $5,000.00 in damage to the car as well as the medical bills thus far for my hand. The man who told me to get out of the car in the car wash was nowhere to be found. I pulled my car out of the car wash and parked it in the lot. I went inside to find a "manager" who had no idea of what was going on. I began to tell here the story and without hearing me through she began to tell me how it was my fault and began to reprimand me. After which I asked to speak with the owner. To this request she said that would not be possible but to give her my name and phone number and the owner would call me back on Monday. It is now 2.5 weeks later and I have not heard anything from anyone at this Arco location. My insurance company has called multiple times and no luck talking to the owner. Suffice it to say that this is extremely unprofessional and screams guilty / at fault. This is also a bad reflection on your company, as a whole, as you allow this unprofessional person to represent you and tarnish your good name. read more

The cashier rang up my purchases, told me my total was 9.95. I paid him and he gave me my change of 10.05. Then he says oh no your total was 10.95, and went and printed the reciept and took another dollar from me. I then asked for the receipt and he threw it away. Rang up a new purchase of 10.95 with the tag of Grocery. Instead of the itemized receipt of the items I purchased. I manage a Chevron in another city. When asked if they accepted credit card, some 10 year old looking boy behind the counter was rude and yelled no raising his voice. Unnecessarily rude, uncivil, and incompetent; just to get gas. The male cashier working here on 4/14 at 9:30am was loudly insulting two male customers while they were at the counter trying to pay for their items, because he couldn't understand what they were trying to ask him.
