The pay at the pump machines are easily compromised unless it's an employee who's stealing...... I paid $53.04 for gas last night. The receipt wouldn't print out. I check my bank balance and they added additional $125 to my card. I have a hard believing it was not inside job. You get a discount on the price of gas if you buy a carwash. But you have to buy the wash at the pump, and I think it's only available at the right hand set of pumps (if you're facing the store). I haven't checked if it's cheaper in summary, but if you already needed a wash in the first place, the discounted gallon price will be a welcome bonus... Since the Covid pandemic, I haven't been inside the AM/PM store as much as I used to, unless it's to pay cash for gasoline or to get Lotto tickets. The staff are quite quick to help out. One time, I had the unfortunate experience where the carwash broke during drying. I told the staff about it and they simply issued me with a new wash code! Easy enough... The station is clean and well lit, especially during the evenings. And the gasoline price is normally one of the cheapest in the area. This morning i went to this location, as I have many times before, to purchase a car wash. While inside the car wash i noticed it was malfunctioning. The mechanical arms (spin brushes) were only washing the entire side of my vehicle leaving it partially cleaned. Once the car wash finished and I was able to exit i returned inside with my receipt and spoke to employee (sue) who sold me the wash and i disclosed the situation and requested a refund and produced my receipt. She proceeds to just turn around go off in the back and returned with a fairly large male wearing some sort of green and gray sweater with a black beanie not any sort of AMPM employee uniform, later identifying himself as shaun, who racially discriminating against me, made statements about the ethnicity he assumed me to be, and literally disrespected making very offensive remarks about me to his employees while they proceeded to laugh at me with each other, accusing me of trying to get a free wash, Refused to give me a refund. From the previous reviews I've seen pertaining to "customer service" at this location, this is obviously not a new issue at this business when it comes to less than poor customer service the employees and management provide. Obviously ownership and Arco at this location do not value or even respect the consumer. I went to fill up and buy some beer. I pulled up to the OPEN register, but the lady was at the other side stapling something. I was waiting and she didnt say anything for 2 minutes. A customer pulls up and she tends to them. RUDE. I walked out. You put back the beer. Now i am compelled to make them work harder everytime i come here. I just left visiting this place to buy my morning coffee at about 5:40ish. There was a homeless woman who was standing at the other "closed" counter. I saw she was counting change for a fountain drink she already had poured. In my mind I was already going to take care of her drink and let her keep her change. She turned to me and asked me if I had 10 cents because she was short to get her drink. I said I'll take care of your drink for you. She asked, "Are you sure?" I said yes! Don't worry about it and she proceeded to hand me her change and I told her to keep it. I then looked at the cashier and said ring her fountain drink on my bill. She proceeds to do so adding, "Shes a doop!" Im like excuse me?? She responded with, "They're all doops!" I was completely disgusted with her attitude against this woman and towards the homeless. If I had time today I would have sat there and called her a$$ out and embarrassed her. Not everyone is fortunate and theres people out here struggling with real problems! Compassion is something she lacks as a point of contact for a "Customer Friendly" gas station and as a representation of AMPM. My ID was stolen and I'm 27, but I have a scanable ID copy on my phone that I have used here LIKE 8-10 TIMES. I just pulled up to this arco gas station on Bradshaw and Kiefer. I waited in line as folks were assisted. The customer just before me was asking about a lost credit card, the card they showed was a golden 1 debit. Then asked if she lost a wallet, she said no and left. I approached the cashier, taller gentleman who was polite and asked what I needed. I opened my wallet and pulled out a $50 and said 50 on 11. The gentleman repeatedmy request and I confirmed. He said you got it and then I left. I tried to use the pump but it wouldn't reset to $0. I tried twice but no success. I came back into the store and questioned why the pump wasn't working. While explaining the issue a lady from behind the counter must've overheard because she tried to offer to put $50 on my cardm I said I didn't pay with a card, I gave $50 to the gentleman and gestured to him. They walked away for roughly 15 minutes then came back and stated the looked at the cameras and said I walked in, purchased nothing, and now I'm falsely claiming I gave them $50. Clearly that would piss anyone off being called a liar with this BS claim they didn't have me on camera. I called 911. 2 minutes later they came back and confirmed my story. I got my gas, no apology, nothing. Don't go here unless you are desperate, such BS. read more

Today I went to fuel up and by my lottery tickets when asked how old I was I pulled out my drivers license the girl asked me again how old I'm I . I respectfully responded I don't celibate Birthdays my bday is XX/XX/1982 the girl got really upset & rude with me saying I need to know or she can't serve me So I told her I'm 35 plus years old she scanned my drivers license and said it is not valid I clearly showed her it's valid and doesn't expire until 2025 . She replied I don't know how to work the register so she can't help me anymore & she called the next customer to the line . I walked over to another employee who was mopping the floor explain the situation and he was able to take care of me and get me in & out . I'm a 15 year resident in the rosemont Area & enjoy shopping within my neighborhood I probably won't be coming back here again due to the Poor customer service . I went in and paid for my gas and a soda. I went to pump gas. When I pulled out the handle the hose hit the 91 grade gas. I tried correcting it to the 87 grade before pumping anything. It would not change. I use the call button and asked the employee to correct the grade of gas. The employee was not understanding me. I hung up the handle and went to go inside. An employee came out and said I had to pay again. I went inside and they told me I had to pay the $.35 debit fee again. I explained I already paid that fee and that they needed to take it off to run my card again. They refused and said it was a corporate thing. They refused to fix it. I ended up getting gas at another gas station. They still charged me $.35 and for my soda. I made a BBB complaint and will file a complaint with the state attorney general. It should be illegal for them to charge a fee twice on the same purchase. read more
