THIS PLACE DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR!!!! Last month, my wife and I pulled in in the middle of the night (between 2 & 3am), REALLY low on gas and only having cash. This meant we had very few choices where to get gas since we couldn't pay at a pump. When my wife went in to pay however, the guy behind the counter (who had JUST rung up two people) told her she couldn't get gas, and that they were closed. She told him we were so low that she didn't know if we'd even be able to start our car, let alone find another open station, but he insisted they were closed. So she came out to the car, and while telling me what had just happened, a car pulls up, the guy goes inside, AND MAKES A PURCHASE!!! So she goes back in since they're apparently open now, and dude still says they're closed!!! That's when we realized all the other customers (well, not OTHER customers, since we were not being allowed to patronize this place) had had a much darker skin tone than we had. It was also the point when I realized that we were at the same location, and inside was the same employee, who had a few weeks earlier locked the door on me! As in, I literally heard the click of the lock and the door wouldn't open, even though my wife has just come out. I went back to the car to wait until they were open again, which took all of two minutes, but not for me! That night I had only wanted some coffee though... Our situation needing gas was much more dire, so I put my feelings about the previous incident aside, and after a few more people came and went (and either was allowed to make their purchases, or they stole from them), I finally went in when another guy of similar lighter complexion pulled in, right after him. By this point there were two employees on shift. The one who gas been there couldn't make it around the counter fast enough to lock me out (I had made it a point to walk out to the street and sneak up the side so he couldn't see me coming), so he tried to tell me they were closed. At this point, I'd had it. I called him out on NOT being closed, told him I had been sitting out there watching him ring people up and asked him what the hell was wrong with him, turning away a woman in the middle of the night, desperately needing gas, WITH CASH IN HAND?! He had no answer... So I kept asking questions until he finally said, "have a good night. Go away". When I noticed the older white guy I had followed in was being rung up I finally blurted out something about them discriminating who they were selling\ not selling to, and how no REAL man would NEVER not let a female with cash in hand not buy gas in the middle of the night, especially when she tells him its possibly the difference between her being stranded or not! He kept laughing and again told me to go away. His co-worker obviously didn't care about how customers were being treated either as he just stood by and watched. I told him I'd go away as soon as I got an explanation and\ or he'd just admit that he was a racist piece of $h¡+, but he just stood there, saying nothing and laughing at me like the pansy piece of worthless garbage wasting space on our beautiful planet that he is... I finally got sick of interrogating him and telling him how utterly disgusting his unprofessional attitude was, how pathetic it was that he couldn't drop his balls and answer me, and that there was no place in this world for people like him, told him where he could stick that stupid look on his ugly face, and left, since I obviously wasn't gonna have a man to man with a racist prick that locks select people of differing skin tones out. Nobody I know is EVER going back there, whether they get restaffed or not! read more

I've been going this place for many years and after so many years of getting horrid customer service I avoid this place. Employees come and go but it seems like the management has a check list when hiring: Bad manners. Check. No smile. Check Unpleasant and unwelcoming. Check Wants to get paid but do nothing. Check So I go in today. One guy is wiping down machines and a woman is behind the counter sweeping and listening to her ear buds. I stood there and stood there. Then finally I waved my arms thinking no one could be that rude maybe she didn't notice me. She stops sweeping, leans on one hip, rolls her head to one side and says - 'I see you' in the most hostile voice I assume she could muster. My only reaction was to start laughing because I couldn't be surprised. She said, 'what do you want'. I guess It's just me and how I was raised and learned human decency and customer service. Stop whatever the hell your doing and help the person who came in to make a purchase. I went against my better judgement today. Normally I drive blocks or miles away just not to have to deal with this place. My mistake. I will continue to drive further or get everything I need a head of time or to go to places where the employees are pleasant. I'd rather be inconvenienced for the convenience. read more

I had a very terrible customer service experience. This employee decided to close the doors somewhere around 11:20 pm when clearly it stated that they're opened 24 hours. I don't understand why ampm decided to hire an employee like her. She also had the audacity to curse me out and continue to call me names. She had a very rude and disgusting attitdude. Instead of yelling and cursing at me, she should've explained it to me why she closed the door. I understand that employees working at gas stations have a hard time, but please don't take it out on customers who are there to pay for the service. Hopefully she gets fired soon. This job isn't suitable for her at all. Her attitude is disgusting and her behavior is horrible. I'm not going there again. And please, empty out the garbage bins, the trash are all piled up and full. 'Have a blessed day.' read more

Everyone that works here is so sweet. I don't enjoy Monday's but stopping here for coffee makes it way better. The ladies at the register are always talking and laughing. I love getting my coffee here. read more

THE ABSOLUTE WORST, RACIST, DISCRIMINATIVE AND DISRESPECTFUL service I have EVER ENDURED! This gas station that I once visited multiple times a day because it's down the street from my house and workplace, is now a place I will NEVER return to unless it's COMPLETELY restaffed! If you are not of liking or same decent of either of these male or female employees, you will absolutely be treated as completely irrelevant, will be ignored, will be flat out pushed out of line, given disgusting snarling looks and have things mumbled to you under their breath and will feel totally intentionally unwelcome. It took me 30 min to put 5$ in my gas tank and get cash back as this employee made me re enter the line 3 times. I first told him I wanted cash back, purchased $5 in gas, then afterwards he tells me I can't get cash back with gas. So I grab a muffin on the counter next to me so I can get the cash back. He then bursts out in laugher at me and asks 'woah what makes you think you're so special, get back line'! Shocked and appalled and almost in tears from his rudeness and embarrassed as there was 10 people in line behind me, I renter the line. Because I needed my cash. So when I got to the front, he said to me' you seriously got back in line and came back'? Like HE was even surprised I got back in line after the way he deliberately treated me so harshly like he wanted me to leave. I was nothing but sweet and nice with these staff?!? Then after my pin was incorrectly put in, holing up a huge line out the door, he then asked me to re enter the line AGAIN making me cancel my transaction and start over. Then, me who is over 50 years of age, after entering to get my cash back because I NEEDED cash back and couldn't afford to go anywhere else despite the horrible service, Im carded when asking for smokes when I get to the front. Mind you I'm gray and 50 and disabled and clearly over age, and after already buying earlier today from same person, but still made me hold this line up, run out in the pouring rain and full lot of trafficked cars, go out to my car to get my ID and then coming back to the counter, he start laughing AGAIN and told me to RENTER THE line again! This was a PURE EXPERIENCE OF TORTURE. I literally have never been treated and toyed around like this from a working professional in front of a ton of CUSTOMERS in my LIfE. Meanwhile, the people who of different decent behind me, IMMEDIATELY received a smile, a warm welcome, the employees whole attitude and demeanor changed into a different person and didn't even card them when buying alcohol when they were DEFINITELY twice as young as myself. This was one of many occasions on my visit here in the past couple weeks since this place has re staffed and it has been an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE every time. If I come to this store at any point in my day, I leave there completely offended, angry and totally irate at how I'm treated every single time. I have sat and watched myself to see how they treat in and out going customers, and not only are they letting SELECT individuals go without paying full price or carding them, but they are literally pushing away people and refusing to put any effort to fulfill a request or when we go to purchase something, literally pushing us out the door from from using AmPm and Arco as our daily gas and needs. This neighborhood is blocks away from some of the biggest corporations headquarters in the WORLD with ALL DIFFERENT NATIONALITIES AND ETHNICITiES living and working blocks within this store that use and depend on this store. BUT this store and it's current employees, who seems to team up and treat people selectively in this same way while BREAKING the law doing it, does NOT belong anywhere in, around or near professional NON DISCRIMINATORY businesses the way it's SUPPOSED to be. This is NOT what an equal and global community's neighborhood store should represent. People are literally SCARED to come into this store because of these people who are working here. I have never in my entire professional life or career witnessed anything like this! A whole neighborhood scared to go into this gas station because of how rude, discriminatory and aggressive they are with people who do not look to their same liking. This service has horrified myself every time I have walk-in in and out of this place and that's exactly why Many other people and near by businesses have already been made well aware of this INSANE DISRESPECTFUL and UNLAWFUL UNPROFESSIONAL behavior that's being done and said to YOUR customers. If something isn't done soon and this business isn't restaffed, It won't be long before this station is shut down and out of business for good because of the horror it's creating by its staff. This needs to be looked into and resolved ASAP. read more

The clerk told me the price of my Soda had gone up that afternoon even though the marked price was 0.99 cents he said the price was 2.99 because the supply was short due to Portland Oregon snow storm! I promptly left, what a crook!!! read more
