There's a middle eastern guy around 25-30 years old who is one of the most rudest people I have ever encountered. He works mostly night shifts. I've seen him a couple of times and each time he was always rude but I never thought it was enough to write a review. This happened a couple weeks ago, it was in the morning. I stepped in the store and said hello, the guy just stared at me and said nothing. I wanted to grab a buzzball. The guy followed and chased me down, and asked me in an intimidating tone what was I doing. I replied saying I wanted to buy alcohol. He scoffed and asked me multiple times if I was from the U.S or a U.S citizen... like what does that have anything to do with me buying a buzzball? I was dumbfounded, I didn't know what he meant. He also got super close to me, which I had to take a few steps back because he was making me nervous. To be fair it was early in the morning and I didn't know there was a certain time you could or couldn't buy alcohol. But I honestly didn't know, I just turned 21 last year. The fact that him, being a brown person asking another brown person if they're from the U.S. It's unbelievable and hilarious. There was a completely different and better way to handle this situation, I wasn't rude at all. So I don't understand why I was treated the way I was treated here. If he would've just said 'hey, we can't sell you that until X o' clock .' I would've been cool and come back at a different time. Train your employees to have better customer service and educate them that people CAN be a U.S citizen and make a stupid honest mistake like I did. Instead of making ignorant and racist remarks. This used to be my go-to gas station for snacks and gas. But time after time again they never disappoint in making you feel like snot. read more

I find this gas station to be in a very convenient location. It's across the street from Safeway, very close to the freeway entrance, and close to Mountlake Terrace High School. I have never had a negative experience here, except sometimes around 10:30-noonish there will be a man looking at the garbage which is a tad bit out of the usual but a flex. Prices are great, and I find any Arco in the area (Lynnwood/ MLT/ Mukilteo) to be cleaner and feel safer we than most gas stations, and all of them are usually the cheapest which is great. It was at 10:30pm may 7th I stopped in after work to get a snack. The guy at the register was talking on the phone in a loud language I didn't understand. No greeting totally ignored me except to scan the items I had. The card machine didn't read the chip in my card so I pulled it out and was trying again. He started yelling at me and demanded my card, when I refused to hand it over he started cussing snatched the items off the counter. Then started dropping f-bombs and told me to get out of the effing store. I will never shop there again. He needs to be fired and learn how to treat people. Zero stars if i could. I'm not sure who the old man is that runs this place at night but he is so fucking rude and has no customer service whatsoever. He has treated me like shit multiple times. One time i bought cookies amd cigarettes. After paying for my stuff i went to warm up my cookies and as i was leaving out the door he ran up behind me and said "what you doing here!" I said you just sold me some cookies and i warmed them up with the microwave. He was glaring at me hard and said "you go now" and i said i am leaving what is your problem"! This is how he treats me most of the time. I hope he is not the owner. It's okay. The thrash and curb appeal is taken care off very poorly. Food is fresh. Only thing I like about it. Gas is cheap. The worker is always there. There's no excuse such as short staff. When I came there 3am or 1:20am or 8am or 11:33pm random times. There's always somebody there to help me. 5 stars for being at service 4 stars for presentation of exterior. read more

The night guy was an asshole. I went to find dog food because I ran out due to having an extra foster dog. He wasn't helpful. While I was there I tried to buy beer and he lost his religion. He took it from me and called me a "nasty woman" for buying alcohol. He was so awful. When I stood up for myself he threatened to call the police. When I agreed he should, suddenly he backed down and told me I could call them if I wanted to. Such a misogynist. Never go here. read more

We moved to the area about 5 years ago and frequently visit this station for gas cigarettes Red Bull The usual stuff in every employee that I've came across was always kind I spend on average over $2000 a month at this place but this one short employee that is very rude uses profanity even threaten me that he wants to beat me up all because he has his under age son working the register The kid asked me if I want a bag and I said yes but the kid didn't charge me the $.04 cents for the bag and the father got very upset hit the kid in the head and I said it's 6am give the kid a break that's when he turned his anger towards me this guy should not be working with a temper like his and I am not the only one that he done this to I told him I will pay the $.04 cents give me a second to go to my car and he then proceeded to tell me how he wants to beat me up and used all kinds of profanity towards me heads up beware of this guy read more

If I could give this negative stars, I would. Terrible customer service, they never smile, they are impolite and they have no manners.

Price here on gas is usually better then in most places. I don't usually wait in the line for getting a gas, because I don't pull their if i see many cars there LOL Maybe I was lucky? But the station sometimes a bit busy when I drive by. But in so many cases I have experienced of not so great running car after getting gas in here. In 99% cases they are out paper for receipts. :( The station is always dirty. The store clerk does not give you a receipt unless I say: Receipt please? Or, Yes I want my receipt. Kind of not normal .... I don't even know why would they don't want to give you a receipt. Going Green? LOL! I avoid this station unless I am really getting low on a gas and it is on my way. read more

Very bad service. Do NOT BUY lottery tickets here. The employees here do not like to cash in tickets. For 3 days in a row "Ahmed" has stated that their machine is down for various reasons and will not cash in winning scratch its. I have notified Washington lottery. I hope they permanently lose their license to sell lottery tickets. poor poor poor business practice. They most likely keep a small percentage of sales, but will not redeem tickets. Just plain fraud. If it's just Ahmed being lazy and not wanting to process the ticket, then that is equally as bad. Came back 3/30/2016 BB K is the name of the attendant working today and he claims the machine is down. Refuses to cash a 10 dollar lottery ticket. They seem to not want to cash small prize tickets to keep their tills supplied with 5s and 10s. I have filed a report with Washington lottery. read more

This ARCO AM PM now accepts credit cards (since about a year ago). However, when you pay with credit, be prepared to spend about $0.06-0.09 more than paying with debit or cash. I assume this is to cover some kind of credit transaction fee. Also, there is no longer a debit surcharge fee (you pay the same as you would with cash!) I go here to fill up because it is still the cheapest around. When the price of gas is over $4 a gallon, every cent really does make a difference in the long run (especially when other nearby stations are $0.10-0.20 more!) It is usually quick and convenient, I have only had to wait a few times. On the downside, the pay terminals tend to be a little finicky- at times the machine won't take your card (for no apparent reason) but going to a different terminal usually solves this. I once thought the only way a gas station would ever get five stars would be to offer free gas- since that is unlikely to happen in the near future, the one with the cheapest gas has to take it! read more

I filled up my car and decided to go in to get a drink. When I attempted to pay with my ebt card, Ahmed, the guy behind the counter, said they don't accept ebt. I asked him why as every arco I've been to accepts them. He just shuttered at me and said "no English". Take your business elsewhere ! The worst customer service , even for an arco /ampm . My daughters icee was leaking all over because it was not very frozen . The man behind the counter proceeded to argue the most ridiculous things I've ever heard as he saw us struggling with it . I asked him if I could replace it , or get a new lid , and of course he said no . When the machine is used more than once that's what you get , and on and on and on ... I always liked arco for the super cheap gas but what comes with such a price is no credit cards accepted, 50 cent debit charges and very crowded lines the majority of the time. Sometimes it's worth it and sometimes not worth the hassle. But their gas is currently about 21 cents less per gallon than the Shells/Chevrons right now so its worth right now I suppose. read more

The people are very friendly with me and the gas meets the standards in the owners manual for my car. They are usually less expensive, the parking lots always clean and I've never had an issue with getting a receipt. Good job on keeping away the oil stains. I mean, it's a gas station with cheap gas and foodstuffs inside. I don't have any expectations, so I'm never disappointed. I am grateful that they no longer charge $.45 to use a debit card and that the gas is cheaper when you do (about $.10 less per gallon than if you were to use credit -- which they also now accept). I've tried their burgers before and wasn't impressed. But like I said before, no expectations means no disappointment. Fill 'er up (the tank, I mean -- not my stomach)! read more

Cheapest gas in the area. Just be prepared to bring cash or else be charged for debit card usage. Oh yeah they also don't take credit cards. It's ok for an old car buy if you've got a newer car, I'd avoid this place unless you want to fight the guy in the El Camino for the gas pump. read more

Zero stars. The older man working the night shift is so rude and takes things personal. Every night I pick up the same items from the store. Every night he pretends like he doesn't know what I want or where it's located. I had a hat on and wasn't very talkative, and he starts asking me what's wrong why do I have an attitude, being personal with me. I just wanted to purchase my item. He was holding my money so I asked him to please ring up my item so I could go, he continued to hold my money and yell at me, saving I'm rude and he's not trying to take my money etc. finally he rings my item up and throws the money on the counter. He had the coins in his hand and was taunting me. And he said I was being rude. This is a normal thing, sometimes they are nice sometimes they have a stick up their ass and blame it on you. "Ahmad" is the worst cashier EVER! Multiple times he has shorted my change and I had to correct him on the amount I was due back. No "Sorry" no anything...he doesn't look you in the eyes...never says hello but today was the last straw!!! He scanned an item at the register, waited until he had my money in his hand, and then changed the price of the same item i've been buying for over a month now! First id like to say i have lived in this area for the last 15+ years. In the last 3 years this gas station has gone to shit. The employees are the rudest service people i have ever come into contact with. I get gas here every other day after work and am treated as if i don't matter and my business is unwanted. I literally stood there once for a solid minute at the counter and waited for the cashier to eat his dinner before helping me. Also, id like to say that the Ali G. review is utter bs. Its completely obvious that he either owns this gas station or is friends with the owners. The pay stations outside never work which forces costumers to go inside. Parking lot is always dirty and the garbage cans always full. Unfortunately its close to my house and its the cheapest station in the area. I am not one to vent on yelp but I had the most irritating experience at this arco. I stopped in to get milk and paid an extra $1.70 for a gallon. Inoticed the fridge and milk didnt feel super cold but grabbed a jug from tue back (my mistake). Ran home and poured chunky milk into my coffee.. It was so chunky it made plopping sounds and splashed. Obviously I was beyond irritated there went $5 of coffee and chocolate. I ran back to arco this was literally less than 10 min and the ass at the counter argued relentlessly. He said because I opened it he couldn't take it back. I told him he needs to throw out the whole fridge of perishables and temp it because the milk didnt expire for 3 weeks. He just stared at me and shrugged. I again pleaded my case at this point getting angry and he finally handed me my money. Then with a very snotty tone says there are u happy. I have never seen such despicable customer service. Not to mention negligence I will call higher up to hopefully prevent the sale of curdled milk but buyer beware. read more
