Posing in front of the arch!

A beautiful arch and very popular landmark in Milan. This arch is known as the "arch of peace" and is the gateway into Parco Sempione. It was once used as the official entrance into the park, but now it's known as a notable landmark all on its' own. At any given time, you'll see lots of people around this arch taking pictures and admiring its' beauty. There's also a large pavilion area that surrounds the arch where occasional events are held. I've been to a few other international arches, and this one is very reminiscent of others that I've seen. What separates this arch from the others are the Roman sculptures on the top of the arch and the Roman art pieces etched on the facade. They are truly unique as also quite stunning. I walked through this arch at least a handful of times during my trip to Milan, and each time that I was able to view this beauty made that much more fascinating. When in Milan, you're prone to passing by this arch at least one time during your visit.

An amazing arch with a storied history. Fantastic meeting place next to a park and dozens of shops to eat and have a nice day. Dog parks nearby!

I love that it's at the entrance of the park, you can seat and relax and admire this beautiful monument. Again, on weekends they seems to have concerts and it was full of techs and andamios. Better on a weekday.

Arco della Pace is so beautiful in person! We walked from Castello Sforzesco and through Parco Sempione to get up close and it was totally worth it. The two buildings next to it were under construction but hopefully we can come back and see it again!

First off, the views of the canal (Naviglio Grande) are stunning! It's safe and a wonderful place to get your stroll on. Every morning I'd see people out running, walking their dogs, and taking a stroll up and down the canal. Public transit is so easy to access and will take you to any part of the city from here. Also, there are a ton of cute restaurants, bars, and shops! This is the place to be at night. If you want a nice aperitivo, you HAVE to check out Navigli in the evenings! There are literally tons of bars and restaurants advertising their aperitivo hour and trying to scoop you up into their places. The music is bumping and there are live street performers and several vendors out on the street selling all kinds of things. This is the epicenter of Milan's urban nightlife and it's so fun! When in Milan, you should definitely make some time to check out Navigli.

I recommend showing up earlier in the morning to avoid the crowds. There are different entrances depending on the ticket you purchase. You can buy tickets the day of, but the lines were so long. I wouldn't recommend it! You don't want to spend your day waiting in line. Reserving a time slot online was soooo easy!! People who secure online can bypass the line by simply walking towards the BACK. There will be a lot of workers to help guide you. Before going into the cathedral, there is a restroom to use but for a fee. 2 euros per person and I paid with a credit card. Wear comfortable walking shoes. The cathedral is not stroller friendly and it is not handicap friendly so keep that in mind. You will have to walk up and down stairs. Very manageable! Give yourself time to enjoy the cathedral in all the angles!
