Stating in part, I had a friend…read morewho got a new puppy and was looking to expand an existing dog kennel area by adding a 4-foot-high galvanized chain link fence that will adjoin the existing kennel, creating an enclosure approximately 30' x 50'. I left my name and phone number in the email as well as a sketch of the new fence and photos of the existing landscape. I spoke with the owner of EM Fencing, Fred, a few days later, and we came to terms on how the fence would be constructed and settled on a price a price. Fred said he could get by in 2 to 4 weeks to do the project. How about December 2, 2024, I telephoned EM Fencing and asked for Fred. Fred was not in and I informed the woman who answered about the fencing agreement I had made with Fred and was wondering when they might get out to do the work. The woman said that she had been hospitalized and that Fred was with her during that timeframe. She said that she would have Fred call me. Fred did call me within the hour, stating he had not forgotten about us, and that he would likely be in touch in the next couple weeks. Two weeks went by and then the holidays came so on about January 6, 2025, I again called EM Fencing. The woman answering the phone stated that Fred was out on a big airport project they had picked up and thought that they would be done by the end of the week. She asked if I wanted Fred to call me and I said no, that wasn't necessary. Just have him get with me when his airport project is done. Fred never called.

This business insisted on half down to "put me on the schedule" for two gate opener installs. I…read moregave them several thousand dollars in the Fall of last year and about three months later, they were supposed to finally install. I had an issue with the original gates that had to be addressed by the fencing company that installed them, Tim's fencing in Knoxville, but that company was on it and had a welder out the following week to fix that issue. Three months later, by May 31st, the openers were still not installed. All I got were more excuses; mostly the weather and the final one was that the truck broke down. The business owner said he would issue a refund via mail, which I never received, and I had to dispute a $5050.00 charge with VISA in an attempt to get my money back. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS COMPANY. I have contacted another company to do the work, but I lost a lot of time and got nothing but frustration from D&M Gate Service.
