If you ever need a TOP-NOTCH ORTHOPAEDIC DOCTOR who really knows his stuff, is down to earth with…read morethe patients & REALLY KNOWS what he's doing----then you need to ask for and see Dr. Unruh. He's an Orthopedic Surgeon that works with the upper extremity -- hands, elbows, and shoulders, He does nerve surgery, arthroscopic, joint replacement. So if you have issues in these areas with the upper extremity, Dr. Unruh I would very highly suggest seeing. You'll be glad you did. I had major issues with the right-hand middle finger (yep...that's the finger). It would fold down tight & felt like a knife going into the finger and hand. He tried using a shot, which did help a lot, but it did not solve the issue and he told me "for many this works well, then there are some that need surgery." Well, I was one of them and if I had to do it again...Dr. Unruh would be one to do it. The trigger finger is gone! Plus, on top of being a top-notch doctor --- he also has a top-notch staff! Fast, Friendly, and helpful. That's pretty hard to beat.

This is a very nice, new building, which functions very streamlined. I needed an appointment as a…read morenew patient and I was able to get in two business days later. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and they don't make you feel rushed at your appointment. They were a little slow to get my MRI results back to me, but I have otherwise been pleased with the way things are handled here.

I was very impressed with Dr. Woyski, his PA, Nurses and Ft. Desk staff at Northland Orthopedic. I…read moream originally from TX and I have a pretty extensive surgical history. My prev medical records haven't been coming despite numerous requests so, I was anxious about having to get into the details of the MVA that seriously injured me also killed my daughter. But, Dr. Woyski was very kind and said to take all the time I needed. The appt was very comprehensive. They do X-rays in the office and go over them with you - even providing you with cool printouts to show your friends! They don't shy away from referring you to another surgeon if they believe your needs would be better met by someone who specializes in your specific injury. Also, I got a steroid injection in my knee before leaving and it was painless. I knew the care I received in TX was never that great, but I thought that's just the way it was everywhere. I didn't realize how bad it was until I moved to Kansas City. I've already had a couple of hospitalizations and surgeries here and every single last one of the medical professionals I've met have been stellar. I may miss "home" and parts of my life in Texas but, the care I've received and the people I've encountered are so warm and welcoming. It's 180 degrees from what I had before. To NOSM staff: If you've ever wondered if what you're doing is making a difference for the betterment of your patients, you are. You're all model embodiments of what health care should be. Thank you.
