She was very patient with me and showed me a number of homes. I am very indecisive and was over the place when it came to figuring out the type of home I wanted..... (single family... condo...multi family... etc.). She was very understanding and helped me decide what was best for myself. I ended up purchasing a single family hone in Mid City. There were some hiccups along the way (possible easements, inaccurate property parcel on assessors site) and Carolyn knew exactly who to contact to rectify these issues and was able to find the proper information for me to make the decision to put the offer in and eventually purchase the home. I am so grateful for her help in reaching out to the seller's agent, title company and attorneys for the information we needed. Overall she made the home buying process as stress free as possible and made me feel comfortable with the decisions I was making. Most other realtors probably would have been driven crazy by my indecisiveness and lack of knowledge but Carolyn was happy to educate me on the process and took her time with me. I would highly recommend!!!!!!! Thank you so much, Carolyn!

Review for Jon Huffman of Jon Huffman Real Estate:…read more I was referred to Jon by a kind stranger on the internet when I asked around for a good realtor (buyer's agent). In the end, I am SO glad I took the referral because Jon was an absolute rock star and made my family's homebuying experience quick, easy, and painless. It seemed that Jon always had time for us. Our amateur questions were never a bother. He was efficient in setting up home tours. In fact, we bought the first house he ever showed us. This was after browsing through endless listings online fruitlessly. When it was time to make an offer and close the deal, we felt confidant that we had a professional representing us. In the end, Jon's advice helped us snag the house for a below market price per square foot, all on a schedule that let us move out of our rental and into the new house seamlessly. Perhaps this review seems a little over the top, but Jon really rocked it for us. We were constantly impressed. My family has dealt with many realtors over the years and Jon is in the top tier without a doubt. PS: Jon used to host "Good Morning New Orleans" on WGNO-TV. He still has the TV voice and presence; it always warmed our hearts.

While the timing was not perfect to purchase then, Jon continued to provide us more information and stay connected. I am proud to say that we are now in escrow on a property that we've never even visited yet. With Jon's help, we have completed our inspections, done FaceTime tours, and feel great about the process, even during these pandemic times. This is not the first property we will buy in New Orleans, but this will be the last time we have to look for an agent, friend, and trusted advisor. I guarantee you won't find any better and he's truly a class act.

We really appreciated their professionalism and constant advice. We wouldn't have been nearly as successful without them showing us other comps in the market and really helping us understand what our options were. And once we had a finalized contract, we closed in less than a month!!! I can't recommend them highly enough - you won't be sorry if you work with Burk Brokerage, and if you don't, you'll likely end up with less money. We've worked with several other brokerages who were not nearly as good. They will take great care of you!

The Burke people have twice tried to block my consumer feedback, which is THE PURPOSE of Yelp…read more Simply stated, I had NO CHOICE but to deal with these people when I pursued their listing for a property in Harahan. I had legitimate questions about the condition of the listing. The agent was THE ONLY PERSON WHO COULD ANSWER MY QUESTIONS. I asked the Burke agent specific questions over and over about the property, especially the roof. She would not answer my questions and would not allow me to inspect the property, including something so simple as a roof inspection. The agent was evasive and devious..."make me an offer and then you can inspect the property." Burke had ALL THE POWER as the listing agent. The upshot is that I wasted lots of time and $500 in inspection fees that revealed problems that the agent could have EASILY REVEALED to me had she been honest and forthright. I strongly believe that ALL CONSUMERS deserve real estate agents who are HONEST, especially when they are the listing agents like Burke was. That is why I urge unsuspecting consumers to avoid this company. I have tried on two occasions to communicate with this company. Their response is to block me, suppress the truth. I would advise against using Nola Living Realty if you're searching for a sincere, dependable,…read morediligent, and trustworthy real estate company to sell your property anywhere in the New Orleans parish. Avoid Nola Living Realty if you're searching for a firm that will go above and beyond to sell your home. Even though the name seems fantastic, using NOLA Living Realty will cause you more trouble than it's worth. I am a proud NOLA girl because I was born and raised here. Because of the mentality of a few, like this agency's broker, Eric Hernandez, also known as Celso, people are moving into our great city and making it into a mess. Interest rates are not where we would like them to be, and the market is competitive. Give your all and be considerate; this is a competitive market. However, being referred to as a "KAREN" just because I'm white is not only improper, it's also quite offensive coming from this individual. It was our investment home that worried me. When the house was in the agent's custody, several problems came up. Certain things are not meant to break. Toilets are used by people, yet they are flushable. However, failing to inform the owners when landscaping becomes problematic when attempting to sell the property raises serious red flags. I sent the agent multiple emails, but each time the message bounced back. As soon as I contacted the broker, Eric, since I had questions regarding my property and couldn't get through to the agent, he seemed quite haughty. He carried on talking about his problems with Google throughout the taped exchange. To put it mildly, I was stunned by the email this guy sent me. It got under my skin for him to call his former clientele racist names when he didn't realize I was a New Orleanian. I don't hold the agent responsible; she was inexperienced. The broker, however, is a different matter. There should be no room for racists in our vibrant metropolis of New Orleans. No apologies from this guy but the racist email. My suggestion is to be kind because no matter the color of our skin we all count. (P.S. Please check out all the other Google and yelp reviews. This is not just an isolated incident but a history of Nola Living) Sincerely, Born and raised (Mixed and Happy) NOLA girl
