He is a chatty man and makes for good conversation- lots of stories. The rooms were very nicely decorated, and while they were admittedly a tad "musky," the antique charm makes up for it. There were also fans in the rooms to help. Additionally, there was a very cool copper bathtub in our room. The location is great, right by the main stretch near a restaurant and antique shop. Additionally, there is a stash of board games and puzzles for guest use. The breakfast was nice, and included a lot of options. It was a very "country" meal, and pleasantly tasted hearty. It was filling. And if you're hungry, the tavern (about a black away) has GREAT grilled cheese and is open until 1 am :)

The front desk staff were so friendly and professional. Our keycard wasn't working at first and before we even asked for another one, he already had 2 more for us! There were also a variety of condiments and spreads to choose from. In our room, we were surprised to have a Keurig with good-quality K-cups, Green Mountain brand. Our room was so quiet and we could not hear any talking from other rooms, except doors closing but it wasn't as loud as it usually is when we've stayed at other hotels.
