The ardent center accepted our ins, was conveniently located between dad and I, and had openings that worked with our schedules so we gave it a shot. WORST MISTAKE EVER! Last weekend while the kids were with me, I asked them to do some household chores ex; fold their laundry including matching sock, they did some then got board and walked away I made them come back and finnish that was when my son said, "I CANT WAIT UNTIL IM 13" I asked him why what's happening when your 13?, he said, "MY COUNSELOR TOLD ME WHEN IM 13 I GET TO DECIDE IF I WANT TO GO WITH YOU AND YOU CANT MAKE ME!" I then asked my daughter if she was told the same thing and she said, yes. We brought our kids to JAMIE because we trusted that she could HELP or kids NOT make thing WORSE for us at home. Today I met with Jamie and asked her if she told my kids that when they are 13 they can decide who they want and don't want to visit and who they want to and don't want to live with. SHE DENIED IT AND SAID NO SHES NOT A LAWYER TO GIVE THAT ADVICE. Don't get me wrong there are certain circumstances were kids might have a say but my children have a roof over their head, food on the table, and clothes on their back. They are not abused or neglected. My children are not innocent but I can tell you one thing for sure, MY SON IS NOT A LIAR! I then asked Jamie if my kids can join us and we can clarify things, SHE SAID NO! She said she does not feel comfortable talking to my kids about it. I Walked out of the room and told my kids that I had a conversation with Jamie about the information they told me she gave them and I told them how she denied it and they said she's LYING, SHE TOLD US.... (they even recalled the day) HOW DEAR A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL TELL THAT TO MY KIDS. WHO KNOWS HOW MANY KIDS HEADS SHE IS MANIPULATING! OH AND WHEN I SPOKE WITH THE CEO HE PRETTY MUCH CALLED MY KIDS LIARS AND SAID HE KNOWS JAMIE IS A PROFESSIONAL AND WOULDNT SAY THAT. HMMMM I wonder where my kids pick that line up from???!!! After that, I was afraid of seeking her guidance. So while 90% of times she was helpful, the unpredictable snaps made it very hard for me to continue on relaying information to help my daughter. She also doesn't take feedback well unless it's exactly what she expects to hear. For example my daughter told me she didn't enjoy therapy and when I told her that she automatically pointed the finger at me and said that I had caused it to happen. In fact I never even blamed her for that. I very much just wanted her to know that and it could be simply because therapy brought up issues my daughter wasn't ready to confront within herself yet. I just hope Dr March can understand that the way in which you communicate to parents matters. We are people too. We seek you out because we want what's best for our kids. We are not perfect but neither is anyone. Aside from this, she's smart and caring and I wish all the best for her and all the children she helps support.

I finally felt…read morevulnerable enough to go to therapy prior to coming to Dynamic Direction Counseling, and I felt essentially I was talking to myself while my therapist was making sure she agreed with what I said. I didn't click with my previous therapist, and that's okay.. Nonetheless, I cancelled that service because it was not a good fit. Months later, I tried to have therapy again. I went in with the same expectation as before and wow was I blown away! Nicole got back to me the next day after my inquiry. I see Nicole and she has helped me realize things about myself that I never knew and a different perspective, but in a very personable way. I think there is one reason for my thinking, but she opens up a whole new realm of possibilities and that there is just not one reason for my behavior. She is never judgmental and is very easy to talk to - it's like you're talking to a longtime friend.
