One thing that really sets Mike and his company apart from the competition in my mind is that he and others at the organization are ISA Certified Arborists which mean they know exactly the right thing to do for the health of the trees in addition to making them aesthetically pleasing! This certification and the knowledge that comes with it has come in handy more than once she. I've had questions about the trees in my yard. Thank you Mike for taking such good care of us!

In particular, we had two large 50 foot trees on our property that were encroaching onto our roof, hanging over the neighbors' yards and pressing up against some power lines. Realizing that this was more than I could take on by myself, I began to look around for help. After soliciting some other bids, I gave Lumberjack Tree Services a call, and am glad I did. Andrew arrived at my house promptly for the free inspection. I pointed out to him that in addition to the two large trees, there were numerous smaller trees and shrubs that were in need of maintenence. Andrew admitted that this would be a large job, but instead of attempting to overcharge me for his services due to the scope of the work, the price he offered was less than I had expected to pay. His reasonable quote and can-do attitude was impressive, and so I hired him. Andrew and Lumberjack did not let us down during this very trying job. He and his team expertly took down the two large trees, both of which were quite challenging due to all the man-made obsticles in their path, in just a few days. Additionally, not only were the smaller trees and brush quickly addressed, but Andrew and his team meticulously raked our yard, hauled off some additional brush that we had cut down previously, removed some heavy stones that had been left behind by the old owners and even mowed our grass for us, leaving our yard looking pristine! They did not charge us a penny extra for any of this. Andrew told me numerous times that he believes that if a job needs to be done that it should be done the right way, and I applaud him for his effort in doing so. He is a man of his word, and he and his team truly delivered for us. I would not hesitate to recommend Lumberjack Tree Services to any home owner.

He seemed like a nice guy and told a great story, promising quality work at what seemed like a fair price. He promised to finish that the work that day but wanted to be paid cash in advance. I was not comfortable with that and told him I would pay him when the work was done. He reluctantly agreed and we signed an agreement for exactly what work would be done. He only completed roughly 2/3 of the work that day but promised to finish the next day. Unfortunately I was not going to be able to be there the next day, so I made the HUGE mistake of paying him fully, trusting he would be true to his word and finish the work. It's now been 6 weeks and nothing more has been done. He left our yard a complete mess with the debris of multiple large trees that were cut down - it looks far worse now than before Rick arrived. For a while Rick answered my calls, giving me excuse after excuse, with promise after promise to finish. Now he won't answer my calls at all, sparing me from his excuses (which I appreciate) but doing nothing to resolve this. If you choose to hire Rick I wish you better luck than I had. I wasted $3300 trusting him. There are plenty of reputable, honest tree companies in Colorado Springs. My personal opinion is that this is not one of them.
