As we waited in line to get in the courthouse it went fairly smoothly. I felt bad for the people who called the jurors number and was told to come in just to be told they didn't need to show up especially after waiting 30 minutes in the unusual cold snap we had that day. After the ones who were told to come in and after another 45 minutes wait we were all told there was a stay and we could leave. Thank God.

My number came up, and I had the dreaded jury duty. Arapahoe County has a system for calling in or…read morechecking their website the day/night before. If you are not excused, I advise arriving before 7:30 a.m., when the doors open, so you can get through security quickly and arrive at the jury summons room on time. You fill out another questionnaire (similar to the summons you must bring), which helps the judges and lawyers determine the first round of excusals. If you are "lucky" enough to make it through that round, you will be taken upstairs to the courtroom for the voir dire process. Depending on the number of jurors needed, you may need to stay for lunch. There is a reasonably priced cafeteria with hot and cold options and snacks.

Everything is extremely simple to analyze in hindsight, my child can do that without issue. So, let's not all pat ourselves on the back for being correct after the fact! I am extremely skeptical of government and will always stand with the citizen first, but you cannot always be against the police. That is simply not fair, and it is just not how life works, as even a broken clock is correct twice a day, so in my humble opinion it is impossible for the police to be wrong all of the time and the fact no one is willing to reconsider their review means you are likely in the 5% of the population that deals with law enforcement a great deal. I personally have not had another contact with GVPD since I left my review over 7 years ago, I have chatted with them in the park (consensual conversation) and such but as far as negative contact is concerned, absolutely none has occurred in over seven years, I just find it much harder to dislike a group of people than to not even think about them at all!

Little to my knowledge they had no intent to do any litigation as promised via our 1st conversation. The office demanded I pay for there services up front in full to take on my case. I paid in full. After paying they seemed to have forgotten who i was. I didn't hear back from the for 1 week before i reached out to them as my business was quickly falling into danger. After which it took another week for them to make a call conference to talk about my case. At that point i was astonished, the office had not made any progress on my case let alone made any notes because i had to take an hour to explain the case to her again. After which we ended the call with absolutely no progress and a much higher bill and leaving my business to suffer. If you care about your business do NOT, DO NOT trust Watson & Associates with your affairs.

I went to the courthouse and obtained copies of the entire court file and scanned it to her by year. Almost two weeks went by without a response or a single word from her. The day before the response deadline, she indicated (after I sent an email requesting a status update) that she was "getting around to looking at what I sent her". I fired her on the spot. Within two hours she sent me a $400 bill. She hadn't even entered her appearance. Furthermore, the "free consultation" they advertise on the website ended up getting billed to me. BUYER BEWARE!!! This firm is pretty eager to take your money but not willing to actually work for it.
