Authentic Greek Restaurant. Great food, great price. Drove…read moreby many times without stopping, my mistake. Charming family restaurant, friendly service. Started off with hand cut fresh breaded Calamari with a seafood sauce. Hot, Crispy and delicious, (can order as a entre or a meal) Had the special Lamb Chops, mouth watering cooked to perfection with salad, fries and rice. Good grill marks, melt in your mouth and excellent flavor. This was the most expensive thing on the menu. Great Value. Its our third time here and had the gyro plate, and New York Steak wanting us to come by and try more. Keep it up guys good work.

Newest restaurant that was preceded by Regal and Kavala, we decided to give Gyro Grill a chance. We…read moredid not get our hopes up as Regal and Kavala were not the best of places. Boy were we wrong! This is an authentic greek restaurant, with authentic greek cooks and cuisine. The look of the restaurant blew us away (especially compared to the previous places). The good: Great restaurant look (the paint and decor makes it look bigger). The welcome at the door by the manager was great. Speaking of her (co-owner by the way), she is what a manager should be, which is greeting people, helping staff, goes around to look if you are satisfied or need anything. Food is TERRIFIC! Everything is fresh, and you can taste the freshness. They have their own poke bowl (pork or chicken, no fish). Tzatziki sauce is to die for, best l ever had! Lots of flavours in the food. Great service. Pretty good portion sizes. Strange enough that l notice, but they have a coat rack to hang your coats. Also it seems the bathrooms are clean and they got rid of the "Regal Smell". They let my wife order off the kids menu (and that is way before she mentioned she had a surgery that limits her eating and portion sizes). They just want you to be happy. Oh and huge size cake, they brought us four forks (being a group of four). The bad: You could be waiting for a while before you receive your plate (everything is cooked from fresh, no precook or freeze, so that's normal). There is no English menu (but we were told they are coming). In the end, what a GREAT discovery! We will definitely go back.

I never was a huge fan of Vieux Duluth, and have not been to one of their restaurant in over 20…read moreyears, but my in-laws wanted to go. I know l am not a seafood lover (which is a bad start), and l am limited to chicken. I did not really knew what l wanted to eat either. So that did not help. The good: Our young waiter was nice and very professional. Food came out at a decent waiting time. Waiter kept looking around to look if we needed water or if we finished our dish, but did it very discreetly. Adults can order off the kids menu (which ended up being great for me because l got the chicken burger) for an extra amount of money, but made the dish a reasonable price for what l got. The bad: Main dishes are expensive (ranges around 18 to 28 dollars). Salads are tasteless and have no flavours whatsoever. Do not order outside their specialties (chicken and shrimp). Appeals to a certain age demographic (45+ age (although age-wise that includes me). Tables are too close to each other, making your neighbours feels like they are part of your group. I feel like Vieux Duluth is a fancy restaurant outing to people of a certain age that does not know any better and does not want to risk to try something more unknown and get a great meal. But if you feel what l just mentioned is you, then this place is for you.

Lovely little Greek spot in Montreal with a warm, cozy vibe and really friendly service. The space…read moreis bright and charming, with a relaxed neighborhood feel that made it easy to settle in and enjoy the meal. We started with the pita and tzatziki, and it was excellent. The pita was warm, soft, lightly grilled, and perfect with the creamy, garlicky tzatziki. Simple, fresh, and exactly what you want from a Greek restaurant. Great place for a casual lunch or dinner, especially if you want something flavorful but not overly heavy. Would happily come back next time we're in Montreal.

The hubby and I wanted a break from all the bread Montreal has to offer so we ordered a salad, some cheese, a cup of soup, a dip, and some drinks. All the dishes came with pita - so much for cutting carbs. My favorites were the Horiatiki salad which is basically a Greek salad in the states. It was a large serving, incredibly refreshing, crisp, and had all the right notes of crunch, tangy, bright, salty I was looking for. The fried feta was my husband's favorite. We had two triangular portions served in a dish with tomatoes, olives, onions and a balsamic drizzle. The garlic dip was unremarkable and the soup was nice and lemony but I was too full to finish it. The lychee sangria was sweet, tart, and satisfying.
