Tik Tok sent me here! We were visiting the area and looking for a traditional Turkish breakfast and found ourselves here. If you are a picky eater and not willing to try new cuisines- stay away or at least don't try the breakfast. The way the breakfast is set up is that you get all or none- yes they have a la carte items but I wanted the full experience ! If you like what you saw on Tik Tok and are open to trying new things, check it out !

Went with my friend for a catch up and a brunch. We ordered side dishes and salads. We ordered يلانجي Stuffed Grapes vines, fattoush, shawarma salad, بابا غنوج، متبل and Ayran. The service is extremely slow, we sat upstairs. The waitress was clueless, knew nothing about the food. We waited for 15 mins for decent service. The food was authentic, delicious and fresh but way overpriced! The decor and details of the place made me feel back home! However, they are in need of new staff. I would recommended this place for small dish not dinners. Overpriced for no good reason.

Breakfast is by far the best meal of the day and I loved the idea of a Lebanese-Turkish breakfast. I was so excited to try this place and the pictures looked divine! It was pouring out but I wasn't going to let that stop me from going here as it was really out of my way. It's pretty easy to find. I came here around noon and upon walking inside, I was promoted to sit upstairs since the downstairs was full. I was soaking wet, chilly and hungry. A server came over and told me that I could find the menu using the QR code and he helped me get on the WiFi. I ordered the full breakfast which was a whopping 137. Talk about inflation! Anyhow, I was excited for all the food about to come. First came the Turkish tea. Followed by manakish and then the many dishes made their way to my table. After all of the dishes were placed on my table, someone came around with a giant try of olives to choose from. Another server came around with a tray full of jams and dips to try. My table was filled with dishes and I was excited to dig in. Since I live Dubai, I've very well versed when it comes to Lebanese food and wanted to see how this place compared. However, this is where the excitement ended. Once I started to sample items such as the manakish, falafel, manamen and pita, I noticed they were all cold. After trekking all through the pouring rain to get here, I really wanted something hot. Not one server came over to explain the dishes to me or how the process worked. It was unclear to me whether I could have refills. The servers seemed grumpy and uninterested. The fatteh hummus was ice cold. This is certainly not the way to serve this dish and I was so disappointed. The other dips were good such as the hummus, mutabul and the tahini. Overall though, everything was just okay. I can't say one thing stood out to me as delicious. All that comes to my mind is that the food was okay, and that it was cold. I think the most disappointing part was the service. No one paid any attention to me and this was the total opposite experience as I had the day before at a similar type of restaurant. I won't be going back here. The food was just okay and it was cold. It's expensive and not worth the money. And lastly, the service was unwelcoming and unhelpful.

Turkish and Lebanese breakfast. Definitely worth the extra cost for the additional items not normally included in a Turkish breakfast.

Definitely eat here if you're in the Galata Kulesi neighborhood. The Turkish Lebanese Breakfast is 120 TL, which is significantly more than Turkish breakfasts elsewhere. But the extra cost is totally worth it. You actually get additional items that aren't included in a Turkish Breakfast, such as doughnuts, falafel, and fried mozzarella sticks. If you just want Turkish breakfast, go elsewhere and save a little money, but I suggest going all-in for the Turkish Lebanese Breakfast at Arada. If you order fresh-squeezed juice, it is served on top of a cup of dry ice to create a bit of steam/smoke for presentation. It doesn't add to the flavor, but it sure is a treat for the eyes of any children in the room. Finally, the chicken wing kebap is excellent. The chicken is well-seasoned and can be eaten alone, but when you dip it in the garlic aioli, it's a notch above every other chicken wing kebap shop.

Absolutely perfect place for Turkish-Lebanese breakfast if you're visiting the Galata tower area! Every item is authentic and flavorful - definitely a highlight of our first trip to istanbul. One thing to keep in mind, however, is that they require ordering per person and the portions are HUGE - I went with my family of 5 adults and it was way too much food and promotes food waste. I'd recommend ordering a la carte if you can - I wish they would allow ordering less because it's really a lot for anyone to finish. Overall would highly recommend!!

    Serpme kahvaltı

Arada is a Lebanese restaurant located in Beyoğlu, Turkey. It offers a variety of drinks and dishes...and perhaps most famously, their large spread of breakfast dishes. It's one of my favorite places in Istanbul for serpme kahvaltı because they offer such a large spread and it's unique for its Lebanese twist on Turkish breakfast. I originally visited Arada with my Lebanese friend in January 2020. I was instantly addicted and visited several other times in 2020 for takeout lunch and dinner as well as breakfast. However, I revisited this past summer (2021) and noticed that the prices did slightly increase. Serpme kahvaltı is now 137 tl for two people and before I think it was 100 tl or possibly less. Do not let this discourage you because the breakfast is huge and the quality of the food is very high. Arada has amazing food and I highly recommend trying it!

Loved this cute cafe! We actually were just strolling the streets around galata tower and came upon this place. It looked adorable - I love the decor of this place!! As americans visiting some of the waiters knew english which was helpful. They had a separate english menu thankfully as well. We ordered a dessert and couple drinks. Their orange juice was soo tasty - nicely freshly squeezed and the latte actually tasted amazing. The cake was the tahini cake which was definitely unique flavor. They are most popular for their breakfast specials - next time we will be coming back and try their breakfast. It looked amazing in photos!!

For my 2000th Yelp review I chose this one as I loved it very much and glad we discovered it. We happened to be in an Airbnb apartment about 100m from this place and discovered it as we were walking down the street. It's a street that is dug up at the moment but don't let that discourage you. It's a Turkish / Lebanese cafe serving food and great coffee. The ambience is amazing with comfy couches and tables on the inside and some outdoor seating as well. They also have a rooftop terrace area upstairs you can sit at. The place is staffed by a few young men who are very attentive and friendly. Get the breakfast for two here which is simply amazing and tons of variety. It comes with spreads, cheese, hummus, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, salad, olives, breads and a whole lot more. It's divine and the taste is amazing. In fact it was my favourite meal in Istanbul :-) A great place to come for a brunch and sit around and take in the ambience. It's the kind of place you could spend a whole morning chilling and sipping tea and watching the world go by. Would come here in a heartbeat :-)

Best breakfast gem in Istanbul! It's Turkish/ Lebanese. So you get to listen to Firouz in the morning. *Ambiance: cool Bohemian/ vintage *Service: Very good and very warm. *Food: Just pure Joy. The breakfast for 2 has it all. The Hummus is well done, the shakshoka is yummy and the deep fried bread was my favorite as a little kid. *The experience Overall: Great! * Would I go back again: definitely Yes.

Best breakfast in Istanbul so far. Staying a few blocks away and happened upon it on a walk. So glad we did! Beautiful decor, friendly staff, and delicious food. Highly recommend!

It is a little hole in the wall place, but they serve up a traditional flavorful dish a bit like seitan basically. You can get it in a wrap and if you are staying somewhere can take a box home for fairly cheap. Also be sure to check out nearby Parsifal. This is a simple sit down affordable place that is 100 percent vegetarian and has many vegan options. The menu labels what is vegetarian and what is vegan making ordering easy.

I have been going to Zencefil for years but last time I was there was about 4-5 years ago. The restaurants has been keeping its style, quality for many years. Even the menu looks like the same except for a few new dishes depending on the season. There are several kinds of vegetable quiches such as eggplant, spinach, etc. The nice think is that before the meal they serve butter mixed with herbs accompanied with bread. There were two kinds of bread; with corn flour and whole wheat. However, the bread could be better, I didn't like the whole wheat bread. I can make batter breads and I am wondering why they do not make their own bread adding different kinds of herbs and vegetables. Although it is a vegetarian restaurant, there one or two chicken dishes on the menu. Since there wasn't so much change on the menu for years, I have already tried most dishes which were OK. I mean the tastes are nice, not heavenly but you know that all of them are healthy. This time I had warm served Aegean stew made of artichokes, faba beans and black-eyed beans. It was so light and tasty, I really like it. I had homemade ginger ale for a drink but frankly saying I didn't like it maybe because I am used to Canadian dry or other brands. But I recommend its lemonade with ginger. I hope they add more experimental vegetable recipes on the menu next time. At the end of the meal they always serve coriander and some dry herb to refreshen the breath which I really like. Lastly, the ambiance is nice, bright, colorful and the place is mostly full of young people and tourists during lunch hours. The service is not bad but I wish they smile more...

We had a bit of an issue where where someone from our group left their phone in the taxi. We needed help translating over the phone and also making phone calls and getting camera recording to find the car number and whatnot, and I'll stop at the restaurant were more than happy to help us. As for the food, everything is delicious! My favorite was the Biberli ekmek (flat thread with spicy cheese on top). That flat bread was phenomenal! Good amount of spicy cheese on top and something you could just have on repeat. Classic Turkish breakfast was also yum. Number of items was impressive! I think even a portion for 2 is enough for 3 or 4 people if you get another item outside of the Turkish breakfast. It comes with a mix of sweet and savory items so you have a whole meal there with dessert included. The main highlights here were the pumpkin item, the red pepper hummus, classic hummus, carrot jam. Traditionally suchukn sausage was also delicious. Dad loved the Muhammara. One thing though is that they put a lot of oil on top of every items so if you want to avoid that maybe ask them to avoid putting oil on things like hummus and the yogurt which don't already have oil inside it. I highly recommend combining multiple dips together in one bite along with the flatbread. really takes it to another level. Almost home items were really good except the cheeses. The string type of cheese and the other soft cheese were very very salty. The flatbread that came on the side was also unbelievably soft! The best part about that was the zatar that they gave along with the flatbread. That zatar was so nice I could eat it on its own. We even asked for a little container to take the extras back with us. Spicy sausage and cheese Menemen was a nice surprise. It was basically scrambled eggs with the spicy sausage and cheese inside the tomato sauce. Family tried the potato stuffed flatbread (gozleme) and I think they really enjoyed it because they wiped that entire plate out.
