Reinalyn is one of my favored bus lines for a variety of reasons. For one, it's one of the few bus lines that takes the route from Las Pinas to Lawton. A lot of the buses that go through the streets of Alabang Zapote Road don't go as far. Second, they're service is dependable. I can reasonably expect their bus drivers to get me to where I'm going on time. This is true because unlike some bus lines they don't spend a lot of their time idle at the stops until the bus is full. They stop, drop off their passengers and wait for anyone who want to take a ride. Price isn't really different from other bus lines since they all have the same rates anyway. What I get from Reinalyn is the convenience of knowing that I'll get to my destination on time.

Granted I only usually ride bus lines that ply the streets of Metro Manila, but still, I know a good operation when I've seen it. Anyway, the Tas Trans Group of Companies owns a lot of bus lines. Their names range from Bensan Trans, Saint Anthony, Tas Trans and a whole lot more. The reason why I like their bus is because their drivers always get me to my destination consistently. For anyone who has ever commuted or experienced traffic in Metro Manila, that's probably as high a praise as any public transportation business will ever get from a commuter. I can only speculate as to the way, but their buses don't really linger long during their stops. Sure they stop to get all the passengers that they can, but they never stay there for the sake of getting all the passengers that they can unlike some other bus companies. Other bus companies have a strong tendency to stay idle for what's like three to five minutes, which is a long time for a commuter, waiting for people to step on their bus, not buses of Tas Trans Group of Companies though. At the end of the day, if you find yourself waiting for a bus and see one that's owned by the Tas Trans Group of Companies, you'll be making one of the best decisions you'll ever make by riding their bus if you want to get to your destination on time. Plus, the buses fielded by the Tas Trans Group of Companies tends to be on the big side, in fact, so far as I recall, they were the ones who started the trend of using these big buses with a lot of space inside for commuters. Gives you an idea on who the leader is when it comes to ferrying people across the streets of the Metro.

The one that I remember since childhood is specifically Tas Trans, with its green and white buses, though I noticed that Bensan also looks similar. I really like Tas Trans and the other buses from this group of companies as I noticed the huge different between these buses and the buses I ride along Edsa. Majority of the buses I ride along Edsa are dirty, with litter on the floor or on the seats, and even the seats look graying, with the dirt probably settling in. These buses also look old and not well-maintained. But with Tas Trans, majority of the buses I've ridden are clean and do not look old and battered. Some even look new - I suspect they must have some new units. So it's really more comfortable for me riding Tas Trans buses.

This habit of mine is a result of having to ride buses that used to be too small for my frame and height. Being 5'10 in a country where the average is around 5'4-5'6 isn't really all it's cracked up to be. Tall people have problems to you know. Maluto Trans and Travel Corporation, has a particular bus line that I frequent when my other choices are nowhere to be seen. Igan the Friendly Bus is color coded as blue. They travel from Las Pinas to Manila. I like their buses because they're of the large variety. Giving me enough leg room and not making me feel like I'm squeezed in a can of sardines is always a plus for any bus company in my opinion.

Was informed that you had to change the e-voucher to a ticket first, so I went in line. Only two tellers were working despite there being a lot of people inside the office. The line was long and I was seen at 8PM. Was told to inform the bus driver so I ran there, but when I got there they said they'd already given my seat to a chance passenger. I checked my watch, it was 8:01 PM. One minute lang. This means they'd started filling up that bus with chance passengers before 8PM. When their buses are late or delayed, passengers don't even get any percent of their money back, not even an explanation. There isn't even a grace period for passengers, not even 5 minutes. They moved me to a much later bus, and they wouldn't even give me a refund for the ticket difference, since I had reserved a more expensive ticket. Don't book your tickets online anymore, they won't hold it even for 5 minutes. There should be a grace period for passengers just as there is for your drivers and buses.

We travelled in a party of 4. Got to terminal 9:30am, was on a bus leaving at 10am. P456 per person (no seniors in our group). It wasn't that busy on a Wed. They asked if we had a minor/student, but there was no discount, so why ask? The station itself could have been more clean and inviting, but all we wanted was a safe, cost-efficient ride to the province. Overall, ride was smooth. I took an hour nap. A/C was fine, was able to put in 3 pieces of luggage in the cargo area. We arrived in Olongapo in 3 hours, then we had another hour to hit San Marcelino. Driving staff were professional, no-fuss. Would recommend if you are on a budget and have the patience. Victory Liner dropped us off steps away from my mom's house, right off the highway. The system worked fine for us. Would do it again if the ride is this smooth. Perfectly good option for most if you don't want to spend on taxis and unpredictable (or overpriced) personal drivers. Plus you don't have to deal with Manila traffic on your own, let the professionals at VL do it!

Really…read more If there weren't shuttles transporting us back and forth to Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa and Cavite, we would all be taking several buses, jeeps, trikes, cabs--It's difficult, inconvenient, time-consuming and may not even be affordable. You probably won't see us ever again. These shuttles that travel to and from Makati make commuting so much more convenient. Fares are reasonably priced and relatively cheap, if you consider the time and energy you'll be saving, as well as convenience. There are a lot of specific routes to certain neighborhoods and other central locations, and from the drop off points for some people their homes are just a walk or a trike away. On a good time of the day (not rush hour) it takes me just around 15-20 minutes to arrive Makati and vice versa, thanks to Skyway. Queues can get really long during rush hour (as expected), or when there's a sudden downpour, as Metro Manila traffic does not tolerate rain too well. This station is newly built for more than a year or so already. It used to be so cramped at that station underneath the Ayala MRT (it was HELL), but this station is more spacious and even has a nice selection of food kiosks, vending machines, and a clean toilet.

This place is a five minute walk from Ayala MRT station, and is near Greenbelt, SM Makati, Landmark and Glorietta. In North, we don't have much shuttle services or I am not really familiar that's why when I learned that my boyfriend rides here to his place, I got excited and we scheduled one day for me to experience being in a shuttle. From the Terminal, we just waited a few minutes until the van makes his way on the street. In less than thirty minutes, we reached parañaque without hassle. The thing is, when it reaches 6pm, this place gets really crowded and the lines are crazy. You can opt to eat your dinner first while waiting because there are food stalls and vending machine available in the place. I checked their toilet and it's still new and clean.

Unlike other public means of transportation, it is not restricted to the routes that buses or jeepneys are restricted to. Furthermore, the nice thing about UV express is that it doesn't stop. Most of the passengers all want to go to Makati so all of them end up in the same place. The van moves at a fast pace the entire way. The downside is the cost. UV Express is by far the most expensive, barring a taxi, way of commuting to Makati. Furthermore, the van tends to get cramped as the operators like to squeeze in a certain number of people before they give the dirver the go signal.

It's not really the bus line's fault, I think. Early morning trips (5:00 to 7:00) from Laguna (the bus comes all the way from Sta. Cruz, actually, before it passes through Los Banos) really tend to get packed, as it's filled with passengers who are off to work or school in Manila. Yes, there are people among us who patiently endure the long travel every day so they can come home to their family after-school or after-work. Living a short jeep ride away from Buendia, where one of their terminals is located, DLTB has become my go-to bus for my regular trips to Los Banos (where my sister and I studied and where I used to teach). The bus is clean, the drivers and conductors friendly, and the fare is affordable (Php 99). Their buses are relatively new compared to other buses plying the same route. And more importantly, there have been no accidents involving them in the news so far, so I'm quite comfortable during my trips and not stressing out over whether I'd make it to my destination in one piece or not.

I've been on a lot of buses given my status as a commuting student. What I can definitely say is that they run a good operation. I have standards for buses and so far theirs is one of the best buses I've been on for a very long time. The particular bus line that I'm talking about is Erjohn & Almark. I'm no longer a hundred percent sure as to whether or not their buses still go along the Alabang to Manila route, but there used to be a time that they did. I saw one the other night and thought that they still operate. Their buses are great because, one their drivers don't idle too long at bus stops which means you're almost riding a UV Express. Two, their buses are simply great. Usually bus seats are five per row. Their seats are two per row. Their seats are more comfortable for the simple reason that their are only four seats in a row. Part of what makes commuting on a bus a little bit awful is the lack of space. with Erjohn & Almark I knew I could get where I wanted to on time and in comfort.

It does tend to be extra cold but it's nothing a shawl wouldn't fix; and because the units are well-maintained, you can actually close the one above you.
