Absolutely worth the drive out. Lots of great fresh and saltwater selection. I got a beautiful sea urchin and two awesome little decorator crabs for my saltwater fish tanks, who are all in good, healthy condition. Lots of other really cool sea creatures I am excited to go back and get and look at! Not to mention everything is very reasonably priced. Teddy greeted us right away when we walked in and was very polite, kind, and enthusiastic! Altogether a great experience, and looking forward to returning.

The price was not bad if you compare it to any other normal not low cost animal veterinary. And both times I was in and out with good quality help. Beware of the food you purchase from the Southern Animal Foundation!!…read more I purchased a bag of expensive prescription food for my cat, only to realize days later that there was a hole in the bag that was purposefully covered with the prescription label. They did not disclose this before purchase. After I noticed and brought it back for a refund they were unapologetic and said that it happens sometimes when they come off of the truck. I asked for a new one without a hole, since that's what I stupidly assumed I was getting the first time, and they said they didn't have any. My best guess is that this was the last bag, and instead of informing me of the defect, they decided to deceive me and make a quick buck. I believe it is unethical for them to sell opened food under the guise that it is new and unopened. I received a refund with no issues, but I no longer trust them and will be seeking veterinary care for my cat elsewhere.

I had visited before with my cat and received great service. This time however, I had a budget of…read more$300. My cat had itchy ears, eyes that are leaking fluid, needed a nail trim and she has an occasional cough. She is positive for feline leukemia (former feral) so when this has happened in the past she has been treated with steroids and or antibiotics. Not here though! Just to run tests to make sure she doesn't have lung worms we were looking at $700. That is without meds folks, just the testing. Then I was questioned by the tech which illnesses I wanted to focus on since my budget was $300? Not vet care, no it's up to me to decide what to treat. After a very long time the vet came in and here we go with things that need to be done but it's not 'in my budget.' That phrase was repeated at least 30 times (no, I am not kidding) between the vet and the tech. So, for $300 we have ear drops, vet stated that her eyes looked clear (she woke up again yesterday and today with matted eyes), she coughed again this morning and I will be the one to trim her nails. I was embarrassed, self conscious and felt like the worst pet parent in the world. Expenses have been crazy for me lately but I wanted my pet to be treated and to feel better. Out $300, still have a sick cat and I am furious. Furious that I sat there when I should have gotten up the minute the testing started to run close to $700 - the attitude of the tech was 'well, it's not in your budget so...' Horrible service, how I remained patient and polite is beyond me. Never again. You all might want to mention to your staff that the economy has tanked and people are in financial positions that they have never been in before - out $300 and still have a sick pet. Horrible.
