Marine Warehouse Aquarium - Update of current business photo

I have been a customer of this business since 2002 when I started my first 29 gallon tank. They…read moretaught me so much that I even had them build me a 120 gallon fish tank back in 2005. They came and set it up for me, and it served me well for six years, until I took it down and moved out of state, lugging this tank with me all over the West Coast of the U.S. where it stayed in storage for the past 13 years, but now that I am back and all settled in, Bryan helped me get it back up and running. It looks great and held up really well, and we started adding some fish. I definitely recommend this place. Bryan knows what he's talking about. He is patient and very helpful and doesn't try to upsell you. It's been a great experience working with Bryan and the staff at Marine Warehouse.

I bought a fish on Jan 18th and it died overnight, I called the store and took it back and the…read morephony fish guarantee that I got was a $100 gift card (so to speak) and I had to bring in water from my tank then I'm allowed to get another fish. Since then, I've been back in there with my tank water 4 times and there's always some problem with my water so I couldn't get another fish. The last 2 times I took water in once again something was wrong with my water but I took the same exact water to 2 other fish stores and my water was fine. I'm to the point I don't even want a fish from them I'd rather just get my $100 back. I've got all the fish that I wanted from other pet stores. I've even gone to Top Shelf Aquatics in Orlando to buy fish. Moral of the store beware of that phony fish guarantee. Once they get your money that's it, you're not going to get your money back or a replacement fish.

Dan Calvo and his company Little Oceans is a scam!!! I paid him $10k in full and he never supplied…read moreme with the lights I paid for and several other items. Plus the tank has a leak he could not seem to fix and now has ran from backing his product! I will be going after him in small claims court. It's not ok for Dan to take payment and not fulfill what was agreed to in writing. We are talking about more than $1600 in just lights that he did not deliver on and now won't answer calls. I've never gone on yelp until today and that is because I want people to know the truth of how greedy and unprofessional Dan Calvo is and his company Little Oceans! See you in court Dan!!!! PS I have the truth, your invoice and much more to present to a judge and the court system.

I have used Little Oceans expertise for several years with mixed results. I've had previous bad…read moreexperiences, which included a broken aquarium, which was replaced, and today's visit has left me very upset. Today the filter was to be replaced and Dan was apparently missing one or two of the pieces to finish the job correctly. He rigged the aquarium with extra pieces, as he was missing a clamp, and the aquarium was running so loud that one could not even be in the same room. It sounded like it was about to blow up! After conferring with Dan via text I told him I was going to just shut the filter off because the entire filter and the tubing and pipes were shaking and vibrating and water was spreading out the back of the aquarium and has response was, " okay I'll come back tomorrow." 5 minutes later there's 30 gallons of water on my floor! When I called him immediately to set up him to come back as an emergency his response was basically that he doesn't want to deal with it... It is not his fault ...he's not coming back.. he's not going to take any accountability for what happened even though he has just installed the filter and added the extra pipes which created the back wash of water which led to the leak. He also said it was okay to turn it off when I wrote him about it. My issue is less about the water leaking than about his attitude and saying I'm not going to deal with it it's not my problem ..I did what I could do at that time so I have a serious issue. He now refuses to come out and fix the job that he himself started and has left me with a completely broken aquarium after just paying him another $130. So yes I'm very irritated and people need to think twice about employing him. Additionally he showed up an after 30 minutes of already being in my house told me he has an infectious illness, a fungal infection. Which is contagious from person to person. He also then proceeded to use my bathroom without permission and it already used it by the time I I knew so I would never have given permission for that, and all with an infectious disease which he should never have shown up with that already. So I resent being put in a situation where I could contract an issue and being left with 30 gallons of water on my floor and paying $150 for a filter that he didn't install correctly. Think twice before using this company please because they will not take any accountability and Dan is very rude unpleasant to deal with.
