We decided to take a trip to Tulum, Mexico, where we have been in the past. While looking online…read morefor hotels and couldn't find any that easy, we realized that it was going to be packed and we were looking for a peaceful and quiet place to relax and rest. Looking south at the map, we saw Mahahual, a very small town with not many hotels, but we wanted cabanas and continued to look, until we found this area about 10 miles away from the main town.
An Italian couple moved here about 5 years ago (2010), and settled. They built a beautiful hotel (about 10 rooms), very clean, pretty, quiet, (which for us was amazing!), very relaxing. In front of the ocean, everyone gets ocean view.
There's electricity, fan on top of your bed, screens all over, a balcony with a hammock, a little table and 2 chairs, bed is comfortable, hot and cold water. They offer complimentary continental breakfast with fresh made fruit juice, fresh fruit, coffee, toast, cereals, yogurt. There's a menu for other breakfast items, plus lunch and dinner. Those you pay for at the end of your trip.
Since this is a place to rest, the owner closes restaurant and everything around 10:30 pm.
We went either to the beach and laid on the chairs to see the gorgeous stars or took drives to the town.
