I was visiting with a friend in Nottingham, and after a night out, we took our sorry butts off to David Lloyd's. I'd never imagined it would be as amazing as it is. We started off with a delicious Paleo friendly meal in their cafe. And this was my favourite part. I have quite a few food allergies and Paleo eating is my life. The cafe here caters for paleo eaters, right down to the side of sweet potato fries. The low carb burger is amazing, I highly recommend that. Next off to the gym, for a grueling workout. Well not quite grueling, more stretching and foam rolling. But what i could see is a ton of cardio machines, and even more important a heap of weights. Plenty of squat racks and benches to go around. After our foam rolling, we went to the swimming pool, sauna, and heated spa. This is a great area for the whole family, plenty of space to watch the kids in the pool whilst you relax in the spa. Leaving David Lloyd's, i felt soo relaxed and no longer seedy from the night before. It was like leaving a day spa. I wish we had one of these near where i lived.

Again I seem to be reviewing an entire village. It has a…read morewonderful little show in May..very friendly..in a field in Jubillee Gardens. The gardens themselves are very pretty and great for picnics. They also have an open air swimming pool where the water is warmer than a bath. Tennis courts, bowling green, cricket and a golf club. Then go for a walk in the woodlands and see the tearooms..something of a bygone era. Here too was the Spa and hospital. In the middle of the woods is The Kinema in the Woods situated in the centre of the Pinewoods is one of the treasures of Woodhall Spa and is completely unique. Housed in a converted cricket pavilion, when it opened in 1922 it was one of the first cinemas in Britain. It is the only cinema in the country to employ back projection and also offers regular entertainment on an original Compton Captain Organ. Little shops and cafes in the main street where you can get a meal or a cream tea. The shops are arcaded and look as if they should be at the seaside. Some nice hotels and pubs too. This is Dambuster territory and here they lived. Well worth going for a day out as there is something for every age.

For most people off-peak is the best option, it covers you for everyday at all times except 7-9 am and 4.30-7pm (approx). Big car park. The gym was refurbished last year and replaced with new equipment, has a two floors, very spacious. Big enough swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, tanning, massage, ladies extras e.g hair, beauty,creche etc. Esporta also has a large restaurant/bar area wtih service throughout the day up to 10pm, Funny thing though in the central service bar during the day, there are always lots of nice pastries and cakes on display! after a hard work out thats just temptation or Customer Retention may be!!
