We visited Aqua 43 while in Broadstairs in the south-east of England. The restaurant is one of many that line Albion Way, the main tourist street in the seaside resort town that was favored by Dickens each summer for 20 years.
The restaurant is bright, open and clean. Family run, the staff were friendly, attentive and very informative.
The food was fresh and delicious. The roasted potatoes we're amazing! I had the roast mutton with a sage/onion stuffing. Great! My wife had the vegetarian pie and said it was equally delicious. For desert, we shared the Spotted Duck with custard sauce. It was hot and delicious (stop snickering you Americans...). They have a small but acceptable wine list, we shared a very good bottle of Chilean Merlot for only £15 .
All in all, the best meal I have had for some time. I can definitely recommend Aqua 43 to anyone who enjoys fresh, locally sourced home made meals. And bring your appetite, while reasonably priced, the portions are very large! read more
