Our warm goat cheese on a toast with some greens on the side was something you can do better at home, and the panisses were not really panisses. The beef stew was completely unseasoned, prompting us to scramble for salt and pepper - something that a nice and well-spiced dish should never allow you to do. Creme brûlée was not bad and the rosemary flan was an interesting twist on the original recipe, only if it came with some sort of fruity sauce to lend some more acidity to it (the half-cut petite strawberry really could not do the job). Waiters were extremely nice but obviously could not cope with the amount of tables to be served and seemed a bit stressed. Whoever manages this place must see that two servers are simply not enough and that more help is needed. For anyone who wants to eat well, maybe consider avoiding this place.

Even though it was 30°C, the breeze and shade from the tall trees made it a perfect spot to enjoy some French fare and people watching. The fresh Burrata Caprese (with pesto sauce!) and Squash Blossom appetizers were very tasty. Probably the the best versions of each I've ever had. I was so full by the time I finished them that I had a bit of trouble making my way through my Lamb Shank entrée. It was lamb roasted with shallots, root vegetables, and a wine sauce, but the meat was a bit over-cooked, salty, and dry. I probably should have chosen a lighter dish. The wine I had was very good though, and it's a beautiful place to dine outdoors!

I had swordfish carpaccio with wasabi "ice cream" of which I still dream. The wine list while brief, was excellent, and our server directed me to the perfect pairing. The service was attentive, but unobtrusive. When we are back in Marseille this is definitely a place we will happily return.

We decided to go with the chef 3 course tasting menu. 55 € per person. We began with a complimentary seared tuna which was very light and fresh but full with taste from the sauce that came with it. Next was the Octopus carpaccio (excellent!) came drizzle in olive oil with some season dried herbs and small greens. Then the sea bass and last was the chocolate dessert with blood orange sauce. I have attached the menu and the pictures. The view here is fantastic!!!

The namesake tables were simple but elegant, with bright decorative lights and mirrors. The place was perfect for lunch. The squid appetizer did not look like much but was extremely tender and tasty. The artichoke appetizer was gorgeous in presentation. The duck was delicious as well, but not entirely memorable. All in all a beautiful venue with great food, worth a visit!
