Their drive by appraisal came in extremely low ( which after reading reviews from other areas where Third Federal is doing business it makes sense). The appraiser didn't use 1 comparable to my home in my community. There were 4 recent sales in my actual community within 60 days and 2 more within 6 months. 1 for 300K ( A foreclosure with no working AC, MOLD and roof issues), 1 for $340K, 1 for $335K and 1 for $330K. Yet the appraiser stated my "Value" was only 280K. So basically this company spends thousands of dollars to get you to call them to do a loan, collects all your personal information like SS#'s and tax returns - then says "sorry we cant give you a loan because your home didn't appraise!" - I was told to write a letter and appeal the appraisal, which I did, but based on other people's reviews on YELP in other markets its probably just a waste of time. So BUYER BEWARE... Don't waste your time with this company. They clearly only want to collect your personal information but not actually give you a loan.

Scott and Kelly advised me my client was pre-approved and even sent us the pre-approval letter and we went out to search for a home. Once we found the home Kelly advised my client to pay $32 for a credit report to pull her credit and then a day later we hear that my client is not qualified which should have been done at the beginning. It honestly feels like they knew this yet collected the funds from my client before giving us this information.
