THIS COMPANY IS GARBAGE!!! I purchased my home from Clayton Homes in Farmville and they chose to…read morehave this company come out and drill the well for my new home. They drill the well in August and my home was not done until December 15th. I moved in that day and within 5 days there was no water. Longwood Well Drilling came out to check the issue and proceeded to fill the will with 2 truck loads of water and then changed the water filter. They advised it was just the water filter causing the issue. As of September 12th 2016 my well was dry. They were alerted of the issue after I changed the water filter and it still did not improve the water situation and said the well was dry. The woman on the phone started to insinuate that the warranty was expired because they go by the date they drilled the well not the date I started occupying the home. She accused me of having an attitude when she insinuated this lack of coverage. A representative at Clayton called and advised that they had a county inspector coming out to site for a new well spot and asked where I wanted it. I repeated several times, "I just want it wherever they can get water." To which I was told there is no way to detect what spot will generate water that they just have to drill and see if it comes up. I did not have any knowledge of drilling so I simply repeated to just drill where they feel will get water. They drilled another well 20 feet uphill from the existing well. Only to discover that there is no water in that spot either. They advised they would have to have the county site another drill spot. At this point being a full-time college student and full-time working mother with 2 SMALL CHILDREN (10 months and 7 years) and a my husband who is in the army and currently DEPLOYED, I asked my father to handle the affair. He went out the county representative and asked them where they could drill and he advised anywhere on the property that is at least 100 feet away from the septic (which has a post that sticks up from the ground and is very visible). He then met with the drilling company when they came back to my home to site a new drill spot and told them to use the water finding device (which what do you know ACTUALLY EXISTS). The man then advised that they had not bothered to use that on the previous two wells. When they used it this time though they found FOUR spots they could drill and water would come up! After that the man advised my father that someone would have to PAY for the drilling of the 3rd well because only 2 drillings are covered under the original payment. This total would be approximately $6,000.00. My father fought this by saying if the job had been done right initially then there would have only needed to be one well drilled. We are not paying for the third well. That was 2 weeks ago. A week ago the woman on the phone called to tell me we would have to cut down some trees so they could drill the new well and that they could not do anything until that is done. She asked if my (disabled veteran) father would be able to do that. My father wanting to get this done as soon as possible so me and his grandchildren would have running water in our home, went to see how big the trees were. They are thin sapling trees that the company could simply knock out of the way when they go to drill. To this date 10/27/2016 they have not called us back, they have not given me an estimated date of starting or finishing, and told us they don't know when they will get to it. So, from 9/12/2016-10/27/2016 my children and I have not had water and these two companies have left us this way. I do not recommend either one of them.
