Before he arrived the refrigerator actually started working again on its own. He didn't make a big deal about it at all and simply told me to call him if I needed anything in the future. While he was there with the wrong part, he also took time to answer questions about a few other appliances. Honest, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I'll definitely keep his number on speed dial.

I am adding sixth star since that is not a option…read more Called Jack on a Friday and arranged for his service at 10:30 the following Sat for a dishwasher problem. He showed up on time and is a very personable guy. Jack quickly diagnosed the problem with the dishwasher (was not draining after a cleaning cycle) as caused by improper installation of a garbage disposal by my tenants. The problem was fixed without the need of any additional parts; just needed to correct the garbage disposal issue. Then I asked Jack to take a look at my oven door as it was not closing/seating all the way shut. After removing the door there was the possibility the oven door needed new hinges. After reinstalling the door, the problem was fixed as the issue seemingly was simply misaligned hinges. I found Jack to be refreshingly knowledgeable and professional. And his fees are more than reasonable for the services rendered. These days it is a challenge to find competent, professional and honest contractors. But EcoFix is all of the good traits that customers are looking for when searching for contractors. I cannot recommend EcoFix more highly.

He recommended we contact the manufacturer to see if the warranty would cover it, and it did! The second time he came out one of the burners on our stove was malfunctioning. He knew exactly what the issue was, and what part to order. He also checked the icemaker in our fridge, (don't buy an LG fridge) gave me the part number to order, and told me I could replace it myself and save some money. When a repair technician does a good job and also helps you save money, what more can you ask for? Thanks to Joe for his expertise and professionalism!

This is probably the worst customer service experience I have ever dealt with in my entire life…read more To start off with. The "technician" Matthew did not have my correct address the morning of our appointment. He stated his company "does not allow them to have the customer's address and gives them just gps coordinates" He was late about 3 hours. He shows up in his personal vehicle , no company vehicle. He does not carry any parts on his truck. So he came to my house just to guess on what part was not working and ordered something off of Amazon. No diagnostic tools , no F codes , just mumbo gumbo about how he has so much experience on washers and it could be two things. My drain pump or my lid lock sensor. I had mentioned to him earlier that , I had checked the drain pump for a clog and it was clear. He misheard me or thought I said I replaced it. I didn't replace it. I just checked if it was clogged. He tells us , he'll order the lid sensor and will come back the next day. The next day , I text him. Hey what's your eta? No answer. No text. Just silence. I call the company. Calls me back and tells me the part is not here yet and he'll be there later in the afternoon. I told him just to come by the next morning. Strange an appliance repair company doesn't carry parts. They order them on Amazon. Wow, okay. This morning. Comes to my house , switches the lid lock sensor. Realizes its not the lid lock sensor and tells my wife, " Hey bro , I think its the drain pump so I'll have to come back another day , so I'll have to charge you another trip charge and if its not the drain pump , it might be the control board" Wife says he called her bro like 7-8 times while explaining the extra charges. She texts me to call him. I called him to question why we are getting charged again if I already had a quote on the repair. Seems like charging me for extra trips to get Amazon parts is not a smart business decision. I asked him why did he not check if it was the drain pump first. He said he didn't because I had already replaced it once. I never said that. I checked if it was clogged. I told him just to leave. We'll sort if out with a real appliance repair company. He then tells me he is sick of f**king people like me and that this always happens to him. Then hangs up. Then he proceeds to text me 14 times on how much he was saving us with prices of different drain pumps and that he is exhausted from difficult customers. What a nut job. What a terrible company. The way he speaks about his superiors and the company itself should be a sign of what inept people hired him in the first place. Cussing to customers and complaining to them is such a red flag. Please save yourself some trouble and go with a reputable appliance repair. Hope this review helps you.

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with Mike's Appliance…read more The technician arrived in a personal vehicle and appeared unprepared for the repair, despite me previously explaining which part would likely need to be replaced. They did not bring the necessary part and had to reschedule the appointment for the following week. After rescheduling, I was informed that my stacked dryer would need to be unstacked before the repair could be completed. I was unable to do this myself, so another appointment was scheduled 7 days later with two technicians. 16 days after the first appointment, on the day of the appointment, my arrival window changed multiple times -- first 10 AM, then 12 PM, then 2 PM finally arriving at 3 again in personal vehicles. An hour before arrival, I was told I would be charged $250 for the technicians to unstack the dryer because this portion was not covered under the warranty. I completely understand that additional labor may not be covered, and I was willing to pay it. My issue is the lack of communication and professionalism throughout the process. At no point during the prior scheduling conversations was I informed there would be an additional charge. Being told only an hour before the appointment left me frustrated. Overall, the experience felt disorganized, poorly communicated, and unprofessional. The admin is rude and does not understand what customer service is. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.
