I saw a NP by the name of Kathryn McCullough and she was fantastic!! She talked with me for a long time to understand my medical history, prescribed me my necessary medications, and submitted a referral for me. I went to the ER and on their discharge papers that they gave me, they wanted me to go to my primary doctor within a week. I called Monday, got an appointment set up for Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. Due to unforeseen construction on the Redlands, we were 10 minutes late to our appointment and they turned us away and told us we had to reschedule to another day. Keep in mind I had a massive accident (skull fracture, forehead, swelling face is purple with bruises) but I could not get in to see my doctor. Now I need to see a doctor who is unaware of my previous medical issues and knows nothing about me, all because I was 10 minutes late. I know she has a job to do, but should there not be exceptions? Their moods go from "What can we do for you? We're here to help."" to "We're obligated to see you because we have an agreement with the state." Leaves a sour taste in your mouth to be treated like a second-class citizen.
