Homeowners: Proceed With Extreme Caution…read more Our experience with Phillip Burgess of Next Step Renovation was deeply disturbing and unacceptable. The project was abandoned before completion, leaving substantial work unfinished, damaged, and requiring correction--despite the significant amount we paid. Despite repeated attempts to contact him and resolve the situation, he has not responded. We have been left with additional expenses, incredible stress, frustration, and serious concerns about the quality of the work and licensing. We also discovered verified information about his past that raised serious concerns about his character and trustworthiness. If you are considering hiring him, do your research first. Verify licensing, get everything in writing, document payments and work, check references, and research his background. Based on our experience, we strongly caution other homeowners: think twice, do your homework, and be absolutely certain before entrusting this individual with your home or your money.

Not only that, they were able to get my insurance company to pay for 2/3 of the price. They were more than professional and courteous, and amazing. They also re-roof the metal roof on my deck. Afterward, I saw some nails sticking down out of the metal on the deck and I have never seen that before so I notified the project manager. Project manager was in Europe at the time but once he returned, he jumped on it and the owner contacted me that same evening. Turned out the nails were supposed to be there but the former roof did not have that transition metal. I will definitely hire them for projects in the future.
