the food wad good but the waitress Juliana service was very bad. We had to get get up twice to go get drinks when the empty glasses were pushed to the side to let her know that we needed more drinks. She kept up walking away from the table instead of going around the table to try and see if anybody needed anything until the very end when she overheard us us talking about she wasn't gonna get a very big tip. We just left Applebee's and will not return. First of all they have taken baked potato off of the menu. So we ordered the loaded mashed potatoes. They were lukewarm at best. Our broccoli was lukewarm as well as my coffee. When we told the server, she said I don't know why, they just reheated them. Seriously I go eat for fresh food, not warmed up leftovers. She told manager and they reheated more potatoes, and made fresh coffee. I'm definitely more than upset about a restaurant reheating food but not temping it. I know guidelines state reheated foods must be reheated to 165 degrees in order to kill any bacteria. My potatoes couldn't have been 115 degrees at best. We will not be back read more

Waitress was kind and no complaints on her service or her, food wasn't that great. Everything and I mean everything we ordered tasted like it had been doused in salt before serving, it was so bad that we couldn't even manage a few bites of anything. Traveling for work & stopped in to get a meal before heading back to the hotel for the night. Place was busy & since it was just me, I sat at the bar & was quickly acknowledged by the bartender and she took my drink order. While looking over the menu, she brought out my Mich Ultra (ice cold!) and then took my order. I ordered my usual shrimp & parmesan sirloin medium rare & substituted a salad for the broccoli. The salad came out first (awesome), and then my steak. The steak was between rare and medium rare (a little undercooked) & a little salty which is normal for Applebee's steaks with their seasoning blends they use. The bartender checked on me twice while eating so definitely attentive to her customers. Guests at tables & servers all seemed happy. Not loud noisy... just normal conversation chatter and tv's on in a sports bar. I would definitely come back if I lived in the area. read more

Deplorable service. We got two iced teas. Unsweetened. They were served as sweet teas. We had ordered a child's quesadilla. It was never served. The salad I ordered, I asked for no cheese. Wings came out half ass warm after about 35 minutes. We then continued to sit there for another 30 minutes before the server even came back to check on us while proceeding to ask "were you guys waiting on more food?" I told her yes, the salads.. she left, came back and told us she had another table order the exact same thing and got them confused. We could see her whole section which consisted of 2 other tables that had ordered. No one got the same thing as us. Told us the food was on the way so we waited. We got it, it was fine, took forever for her to come back again, we had to ask for the check. They didn't even try to adjust the check.. so I gave her the card and just said wow, well I guess I would have at least tried to make up for the fact that we just waited an hour and a half for salads. We were seated immediately. There were no menus offered by the host and it's hard to see on a small phone. We sat there for 12-14 minutes without any contact from a waiter. Another couple came in and got immediate service from the waiter. We decided to leave. Cannot comment on the food on this trip but we have had bad food experience in the past. I came here with my mom for a nice lunch and was very disappointed with the service. The restaurant was empty as they had just opened but, the waitress still took 12 minutes to approach us and even longer (15 minutes) to get our drinks. There is only one diet soda option, diet Pepsi. This is difficult for people with specialized diets. We gave the waitress our order after waiting a long time. She came back and told us that the menu we were given was false and we could not get what we ordered for the promotion price. If we were given the menu I believe we should have been able to receive the food for the promotion price shown on the menu. The restaurant was extremely dark and the blinds would not work. By the time our food came out the waitress was not even the one who gave it to us. Another person brought our food to us and would not place my plate on the table. Instead, handed us the food and mixed up our orders. My food was cold and my mothers burger was missing the only topping she ordered on it. Worked a 50 hour work week went to get an appetizer and a alcoholic beverage waitress asked for my ID in a very rude tone of voice, handed it over and she eyeballed it for a minute then rolled her eyes at me then handed it back. She then went to talk to her manager and the manager came up to my table and asked for everyone's ids even though I'm the only one who ordered a drink. I handed the manager my id and told her I was the only one drinking and my Id was the only one she needed she looked over my ID and accused me of having a fake ID and that she was going to go check it for authenticity. As she was walking away I was talking to my cousin and said "its f****** real" not directing it to the manager whatsoever and didn't say it that loud. She turned around and said "did you just cuss at me" to which I immediately apologized and said it just slipped out because I was tired and had a long week. She said well we have the right to refuse service and we'll be refusing your service. I am 23 years old soon to be 24, have never been accused of having a fake ID ever, and had they not accused me of being younger than I am then I probably wouldn't have been that upset about it however they were rude from the start. Called and talked to the other manager and he said well I don't know what to tell you but I have a job to do. I actually really liked eating at Applebee's however I will never be returning and if you want good service consider another restaurant. This is always my and my boyfriends favorite place to eat! The food is always good, our waiter/waitresses are always very friendly and polite. In the past month we've eaten there four times, and haven't had a single complaint! The food always comes out quick, our waitress refills our glasses periodically, and it's a very happy environment. Two words: HORRIBLE & LAZY Let me start off by saying that our waitress was sassy, unprofessional, and half assed everything. I was siting with a table of seven, and we all ordered long islands. It took 25 minutes to get our drinks. Our appetizer came out before the drinks! By the time we got our drinks and finished them, she never asked us once if we needed another or how our appetizers were. My second complaint is about the manager. I happened to leave my debit card there and noticed it after I went home for Winter break and I only have my bank in Maryville. I kindly asked the manager if I could have a friend swing by and have her mail it to me. They denied due to their company policy which I fully understand. I asked the manager if he could mail it to me and he laughed over the phone and said "it's not my problem you left it here." Listen up buddy, I understand it's not your fault but you should NEVER talk to someone that way when you are in the customer service field. He didn't apologize once. He could easily take 5 minutes out of this day to mail it to me and have a satisfied customer. I have numerous friends that work at this location and I've heard nothing but horrible things about how they treat their employees. If this place needs anything, it's to be on bar rescue. No wonder why our waitress was horrible, it's because the management is horrible and doesn't know one thing about customer service. Count on me being an on stage complainer and not letting this issue be unsettled. Overall, this place doesn't even deserve one star. read more

She evidently was not happy that we were in here when it was busy (happs hour). We talked to our server about it and she apologized on her managers behalf, however still an uncomfortable situation and very frustrating. After a while a waitress finally came, took our drink orders and left. Meanwhile at the table next to ours which was empty when we sat down had their drinks and had just received their food. This was nice as they had some extra napkins which came in handy when our waitress finally came with our drinks and dumped a whole glass of water and ice on the table and our laps. (We were ready to attend a funeral service). After two hours we left without ever receiving some of our food order and being double billed for one order. Service is as slow as possible. Took long enough for the salads to be delivered that the entire meal should have been out. Wait staff was no where to be found and it took over 45 minutes to even get a refill on water. I was never once if I wanted a refill on my beer. This place is the worst place to eat anywhere, like not just in this town but anywhere in the United States. I ordered the 2 for $20 and got the 4 cheese mac and cheese with a salad. I ordered it with no bacon or bacon bits because of the fact I cannot consume pork. I was extremely disappointed because my pasta still had bacon in it so I couldn't eat it. So I went to eat my salad and there was mold on the lettuce, so basically I paid $30 for absolutely nothing because I couldn't eat anything I ordered. We stopped at Applebee's a little after 11 AM. We have been here before, passing through. We felt the choices had changed and prices have gone up since we were last here. The receptionist who took us to a table was very pleasant and friendly. Waitress was not great, but not horrible. Our food was also So so. My Oriental chicken salad was good and also a good size. The waitress did not offer refills on soda or refill our glasses of water. My husband did not fare as well on the food. His soup was cold and he didn't get enough dressing for his salad. read more

The service is stellar, especially when Lyndsey is behind the bar and Alex and Dustin are serving on the floor. The food keeps improving, but the menu changes frequently and sometimes favorites (like the pineapple burger) vanish, but others replace them (like the brunch burger), so it's a wash. Happy hour special pricing make it well worth it. Half-priced appetizers are really enough for two, so it's a great deal. Tuesday nights are trivia nights after 9 p.m., so you have that on top of the happy hour specials, which means the place is often packed, but fun. All in all, a much better Applebee's than the average, and one of Maryville's top three dining establishments. read more

Food was horrible. I ordered brisket nachos, they came cold. Got them again and they were cold with a hot plate.

My service was great. I had a great waitress and was very happy with her efficient yet considerate time with me. My food was okay, it could've been better. My main concern was a manager here. He was loudly commenting on a server who clearly needed help, but instead he continued to insult her and make her look bad to her table. He would say things like, "Your table is waiting on you and getting mad at you. They've waited long enough" when he was right by the table. As a person who works in the service industry, it made me mad how very unprofessional he handled this situation. I didnt enjoy my time here specifically because of how terribly he handled that. Instead of trying to help, then discussing the table (what could've been fixed, what she needs to work on, etc). I hope next time I come he is not working because I don't want to have to hear his immature manager's comments again. read more
