This a go-to staple for a post-game get together with some good friends with the volleyball team. It's not too packed later, but is a bit busy during dinner rush. It's great! Never too loud and always great service! Our server is super attentive, and knows most of the crew and their preferences. The food here has always been on par at this location. Visited this location with a friend for dinner and a drink. It's a little cramped but not too bad for Cambridge. Shout out to our server Kyle, he was very nice and attentive. The food is fine- it's Applebees. We got the classic margarita which comes with chips (it was enough that we could've shared them rather than get our own but all good). I got my usual- the four cheese pasta with honey pepper chicken. It's always good and this was no exception but like I said, it's Applebees so it's not the most flavorful thing in the world but it works. The location's manager didn"t even bother helping the the only waitress/bartender serve, seat, or help serving drinks.

The location seems to be short staffed and the manager couldn't be bothered to assist the only person waiting tables and bartending.

Decent service at first no concerns right away, ordered food and chicken was dry and rubbery make matters worse server didn't return to check after we started eating old man behind us got served cold steak dinner and I never got a chance to complain due to waiting for server even after I used hand held at table to request server. The manager I spoke with was very apologetic and offered to send a $15.00 gift certificate through e-mail. I provided my e-mail address and was told it may take a few days. My friends and I were excited to learn that Apple Bee's was open for Dine in. One of the worst dine in experiences I've ever had. We had a 6 pm reservation which worked out however we were sat at a booth that was probably the warmest spot in the whole place but nothing else was available. You were definitely judged on how you look... such as, you are judged how well you will tip. When I received good service I give a 40% off because I know that the staff are not paid very well. No matter how many chances I give this place, it most always disappoints with their food. Went again tonight and ordered fajitas because who could screw up something as easy as fajitas? Paid $18 for fajitas and the beef was almost unchewable. The tortillas were dry and super chewy. There really wasn't that much meat; mostly only a hump of dry rice. Chicken and shrimp part of the fajitas were good. Another thing is that I got free chips and salsa with the $9.50 perfect margarita. It was a small portion of little pieces of chips, while the guests immediately to the right of us who had perfect margaritas had a huge amount of lovely chips. So that sucked. There really aren't that many choices up our way. I wish Applebee's would work harder to be a better establishment. read more

At one point 2 servers were arguing next to out table who should take our table, they must have decided neither one was as it took 5 more minutes before someone else took our drink order. Came in tonight.. Shouldn't have. Got sat right away which was great! 10 minutes later we were greeted. Server was lacking self awareness. He made us uncomfortable and was not the best at his job. Doesn't feel great saying that, however maybe with more training in time management and customer service he will be competent. Host/busser had great personality! Order was not rang in for over 10 minutes after we ordered (you can tell on the tablet). Drinks came to table 30 minutes after we sat down (maybe 20 guests in entire restaurant). Seemed like they had been sitting there.. Food came out slow and cold. This surprised me- only because the manager was present on the floor. My mother had asked about each item on her "sampler" if it was spicy (white high can't hang)- server said no. She couldn't eat any of the food. Mine was really cold- but I ate it. My family and I went to Cambridge Applebee's a couple weeks ago and our waitress was very awful. She stood behind the bar talking to her co-workers instead of helping us or the other guests, no one could even get her attention so we just asked another waitress if she could help us and she gladly did. I just went there yesterday again hoping she would've improved but nope. Still hung out by the bar yapping. She also didn't give me the right food so that was lovely, ended up getting my right food but it still wasn't that good I guess. My parents decided to visit for the day and we thought to go out since it was our favorite place to eat. The host was very sweet and helped with any concerns we had. My mom has MS and struggles a lot to remember, reading, and making decisions. Once we got sat the waitress came and both my mom and I ordered two perfect margarita and my boyfriend ordered Mt Dew/ Mellow yellow. My mom and I got ours right away and my boyfriend didn't gets his drink. The older waitress with bright red lipstick and blonde hair came to take our order and she wasn't so polite when my mom was trying to pick sides for her meal. She raised her voice a bit at her and told her to look at the bottom. Once we ordered she immediately just walked away with a rude look on her face. I feel bad about doing this because my family owns a small business in Cambridge MN. In the beginning of June my husband and I stopped by Applebee's. Everything that could go wrong did. Usually we have good survive and our server is very attentive. I ordered a drink I finally started walking to the bar to find out what happened to it, the server then brought our food in a timely manner. I had steak my husband had shrimp he asked for the ketchup and I realized I would like some steak sauce. I looked around didn't see her I but new she would be back to see how things were. To my surprise she didn't come back so I thought you know I can eat my steak with out A1. So reached for my knife it was a butter knife. At that point I still don't see the server and I get the manager. She was MORE the great she comped the whole meal! Was not expecting that. The last time i visited this returaunt they seemed to be having trouble with a few of the customers. They are usually always slow in bringing out the food and messed up my order from my last visit. Went tonight to celebrate a birthday 4 of us 2 meals were ok the other 2 weren't - 1 was for a bacon BBQ cheese burger with BBQ French fries hardly any sauce on burger and no BBQ on the French Fries when staff was asked we were told that that was the standard amount allowed on burger wth?also the staff brought out a cup of BBQ seasoning for us to sprinkle on the french fries. the next meal was for sirlon steak (well done) with garlic mashed potatoes and garlic green beans The steak was not well done or even med well no garlic on mashed potatoes and the beans were cold and chewy (they did have garlic on them) this meal went back three times and they did take it off of our bill but one of our group went home hungry the meal was no better after coming back to the table three times. The waitress was very sorry and so was the manager but they could not get the food right and after three tries we weren't willing to sent it back since everyone else was done eating .
