For over 25 years Tri County has been owned by Veronica Nix. They have a warehouse that stocks over 14,000 items and they offer delivery service. Tri County sells hardware and care items and food for horses, dog, cats, and birds domesticated and wild. I was drawn in by their eclectic mix of statues and yard art signs outside. There is a giraffe, horse, and a motorcycle made out of tires. Inside the store is a little bit of everything. They have a wide variety of items to care for your animals friends. I think this is the first combination hardware/ animal care store I have ever come across. I love small businesses where you can easily get help and have your questions answered by knowledgeable people. Keep the mom and pop stores in business and shop the independent stores.

I have never been more screwed over than what just happened through Home Depot. We have just had a…read morehorrible experience this last hour with Home Depot delivery of our appliances in which we bought a washer, dryer, stove, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. The delivery team showed up and the driver/lead person was very gruff from the onset which I didn't care about but noticed. We have brand new floor which we just had installed two weeks ago and were expecting to move in with our new appliances today which we waited weeks to get shipped to the new condo we just purchased last month. We specifically told Home Depot while purchasing and setting up the order and delivery instructions to ensure to be careful for our new wood floors and to make sure the people have good dollys with good wheels, but stated to be careful with the floors. The y came in very rough on the appliances and bring them up the stairs with an old dolly with no rubber trim at the base where it was directly coming in contact with the new appliances. Then my worst fear realized, the lead man, because stated "no habla English" would just drag the appliances across our new floors with a piece of cardboard underneath them, cut-out from the boxes they took them from. I didn't mind so much but he used the same one twice and it scratched the new wood floors clearly visible when you bend over to look. I asked if he could be more careful and I even swapped out the piece he had for a new one. He was already clearly upset with me for wanting to go over the appliances carefully for merely a moment to be sure they weren't scratched as a customer normally would. Now that I said what I did to ask to be careful but very politely, he called someone, reverted to all Spanish, of which I know a little, and was saying I was complaining and interrupting him and the other person. He was flapping his arms around in the front yard like he was on drugs and yelling in Spanish. He came back in stated they cannot complete the job because I kept interrupting them, which is a lie and had my partner with me and she confirmed I did nothing wrong and that they were being rough on our floors dragging them as they were and she saw the skid tracks from the pedestals of the appliances too. They brough back in the washer and dryer dragging them back on the floor very roughly, took out and left the microwave open where there was one before they removed it and took that and the new one, took back the washer and dryer which we paid for, and the dishwasher, put them in the truck and left us high and dry. These are the facts. I have reached out to the store and a manager with an accent took my call and did nothing to trouble shoot the matter. He even sided with the delivery staff saying well I wasn't there to know what you said. I told him I was very polite from the onset but I am the customer and I am expected to be allowed to voice a concern especially when we relied on them to deliver these items carefully and with previous notice of our new floors and to have told the delivery team to use care. This delivery team could care less about how the handled the install and removal. I might shop at Home Depot again but only to buy something very cheap out of convenience, reverting to Lowes only. WE are so messed up, have floor damage and no appliances except for the refrigerator and oven which my girlfriend had to beg the Spanish lead man to deliver and not install the old one back or it would do more damage than good. Then they left again leaving without installing the microwave so now we have nothing where there was a premium one that worked fine just older. I am furious with Home Depot's handling of this matter! It is like an alternative universe we entered where the customer is last. You may save money but it wasn't worth it. Now we have to start the process again. We bought blinds to and this turned into a fiasco as well but I remedied their errors and it should work out. Shame on Fort Pierce Home Depot allowing hack, unprofessional, bad attitude, bums do this to customers who did literally nothing to justify how he became so butt-hurt. More to come.
