Brilliant, superb and amazing…read more 1st class customer service, advice and value. It is quite a while since I have been there but I will go there when I next need stuff. Julian Richer tries to get customers for life and he certainly has that from myself. I have never heard a bad thing said about Richer Sounds. Julian Richer is a big advocate of customer service and his books on how to run a company are superb and a must read for any business owner. It certainly shows when you go to Richer Sounds that he practices what he preaches.

They pride themselves on offering the best possible customer service and cheapest deals. I do a lot of my shopping online nowadays so it is nice to be able to pop in to a shop and pick up your goods without having to wait for delivery. I always do a lot of research on prices when buying a new TV as I have to make sure I get a bargain. Family and friends often come to me for help buying electrical products too so I've spend a lot of time comparing prices and Richer Sounds are nearly always the cheapest. Having said that, once I did buy a new TV from them and then afterwards found it cheaper at another electrical retailer so called up Richer Sounds Finchley Road (http://www.richersounds.com/stores/london-swiss-cottage) to tell them and they were more than happy to refund the difference plus an extra £10! There aren't many electrical shops left in the local area (Swiss Cottage, Finchley Road, Belsize Park, West Hampstead, St Johns Wood etc.) so it's nice to be able to support a local high street shop and get the cheapest price and best customer service at the same time.

Despite thus I truly believe it to be a one off case as I received nothing but good service whilst dealing with these guys. Vintage stereo's, old vinyl, repairs, new kit - this place is a great starting point for anyone interested in buying or renovating a stereo . The Walls are filled with beautiful top of the range systems and it is all too easy to lose a few hours. Whilst the repair of my stereo did take a long time I was assured it was a combination of an unusual backlog of repairs and the fact it was sent to an external engineer. I was kept up to date with progress, given an accurate quote and had money knocked off for the delay. Got the stereo back and it sounds good as new. Good result especially as I could find find very few people in London who seemed willing to take on the job. Well recommended

I'm surprised no one else has talked about Audio Gold yet…read more This shop sells old records, and all kinds of speakers. They also sell vintage radios and turntables. This store has a cool, kind of hippish vibe and I saw this woman with green paint on her face hanging about ( maybe she was a shop assistant) and overheard a man talking about speakers he could put in his kitchen closet. This is good place to come for Vintage equiptment (Including an old keyboard still in the box at least ten years old) and to have a cheap drink. They are selling coffee here for 1.50. Unheard of in Crouch End. It's gourmet stuff as well.

Seeing as this place sells items of the kitchen and electrical genre the S&A might stand for Stereos and Adapters or maybe Stand and Admire. My roommate and I went into here looking for the strange electrical species called a Scart cable. Heretofore unknown to either of us, we easily managed to find the unusual species which we sought. Long and skinny like a snake, with prickles on either end like a porcupine. We thought buying one to keep our DVD player and TV company because sometimes they get lonely and bark and wake us up. The scart cables ranged between 13 and 18 pounds. I've since seen them for 3-6 pounds. They looked like very nice scarts, but the selection was so overwhelming (about 4) that we decided it best to ask the advice of our flatmates. The store had a myriad of stuff from alarm clocks to ovens, from adapters to kettles, from Gilgamesh memorabilia to talking office chairs with big, soft teeth. It's convenient, but nothing out of the ordinary of a normal store of this genre. The staff let us browse tranquilly and we had our fill and left.
