My RESCUERS! Apple Roofing saved me from an on-going frustrating experience with another roofing/siding company. I called Apple Roofing as I couldn't get the original contractor out to the house to fix both siding and shingles that were falling off (brand new roof, 2017; brand new siding, 2018). Apple picked up immediately and I spoke to a very pleasant woman who scheduled someone to come out to my house just days later. Curt came out and after 10min of inspection, said he could do the work in about 20min (both roof and siding). Work was complete two days later. Everyone was so professional, courteous, prompt in communication and in service. You won't find a better company than Apple Roofing. WONDERFUL people here. :) read more

I am super happy with the service I received from Apple Roofing! I was referred to them by my insurance company. I have never had so much engagement from a company for any work I have needed done. My contact, Jason H, did a thorough inspection, explained everything he found, and answered all my questions. He stayed in touch throughout the process and was very knowledgeable about dealing with insurance. He made sure I knew what was happening every step of the way and followed up after the work was done. The roofers were very respectful of our property and professional. The roof looks fantastic and I have already received compliments from the neighbors. The dumpster was delivered at 6:45 am and the work was done by 5:00 pm, with all the debris cleaned up and removed. I am very happy with the company, from step one to completion of the work. Had roof replaced, in a year had a leak. Comparatively quickly fixed the leak, lied that the leak was caused by the bats. We invited the bat removing company, they did not find any bats or bats presence. I could not reach the manager about interior repairs. Only after contacting General Attorney office they contracted the painter, and send my husband a bill. Then asked ignore it. We decided to do bat prevention, and the guys when working on the roof pointed out that the shingles were sticking out. Contacted the company, then Attorney General, then they sent a contractor in October 2024, had look, talked in my presence over the phone with the company representativ, promised to come soon and replace several square feet of the roof. Never showed up, never called. I got tired, and practically gave up on working out. They put a hole on our AC condenser. They caused $5,000 damage to my brand new deck. They broke a window. I had to hire a home inspector twice to get them to fix their mistakes on the roof and siding. They contracted my job to storm chasers. The roof claim was started August 2020. They were paid January 2023. That's how long this nightmare took. I now have a "new" roof that looks cobbled together. read more

Our insurance company had Apple come out for an inspection. We had hail damage. They were a nightmare. Extremely poor communication. They seemed to do a good job on installing the roof, as far as I can tell. Their company attorney finally got the price agreed upon. They were trying to charge for work they did not do according to the original agreed upon bid. read more

DON'T USE APPLE ROOFING I'm making this review on behalf of House of Prayer Church, Council Bluffs Iowa. I'm a member of the Church Advisory Board. The church hired Apple to replace the hail damaged roofs in August 2022. The roof was improperly installed, with poor workmanship, and they even left a major portion of it open for 2 large rainstorms. APPLE NEVER EVEN PULLED A PERMIT WITH THE CITY FOR THE ROOF!! The roofs now leak, which didn't leak before. They leak so badly there are now over $50,000 in interior damages, which Apple's Insurance company offered to cover, but the insurance company won't cover the poor workmanship Apple did on our roofs (see the pictures). We got estimates to reroof their work, and with the interior damages, they caused us over $100,000 in documented damages. We found out the subcontractor Apple used didn't have insurance that covered work on houses of worship. They were non responsive, did horrible work, their work created ongoing damage, and even now they aren't taking responsibility for the damages they created that we still deal with. read more

After over a year from getting an estimate from Apple Roofing, the job was finally finished. This company was terrible to work with. They took over 5 months to complete the roof on my business- 8 months after they promised me it would be done. I had to call them several times to remind them they were not done. I had 4 different occasions when the roof leaked badly during my business hours. They gave me a run around with the price and when they did not return to finish the job they started, John the person I was supposed to be communicating with would not return my call. I had to call the main office to have someone else come to finish the job. I also had to call to remind them to come and pick up their equipment from the public parking lot where it sat for over 3 months. I would never recommend this company to anyone! DO NOT use Apple Roofing. Terrible communication (at least Dave in Des Moines is), zero notice on anything, my roof looks terrible, materials sit in your driveway for weeks/months, rework still isn't finished and i have more materials sitting in front of my trailer (which I need). Actual roofers are subcontracted so everything in their sales pitch is a lie IMO. Many of my neighbors have gotten new roofs due to a hail storm and their roofs look great, and both the materials and crew came and gone in one effort. I contacted Dave in April and it's now end of November and my roof still isn't finished. Apple roofing (at least Dave in Des Moines) is just bad news. read more

DO NOT USE this company. I have had the worst service experience with Apple. Bobby, my project manager, has been of if the biggest parts of the problem. From his lack of follow-up and terrible communication skills, our project is still not fully completed 5 months later. Despite repeated attempts to remedy this situation on our end, nothing ever changed. In addition to the lack of final inspection, mid-managed timelines, lack of communication throughout the entire process, every time Apple has come to our house, they have either broken something new or in adequately fixed something that wasn't even part of the original scope. I do not recommend this company ever. I only used his company because my insurance company recommended it. Do your due diligence people. Don't just listen to your insurance company as they have deals with certain companies. Always get a second opinion. read more

Great sales pitch, then it all fell apart. It ended with us getting blamed for their communication issues and them withholding part of our deposit when we asked for it back. The rep sat us down and explained the process for our roof replacement and repair. It was very informative. We talked through parts where they would need someone else to come in and fix the fascia (since they don't do that in-house) and we were told they would provide us with contractors that could do that work. We then were told that they needed a deposit of half the cost to "get on the schedule". We paid it, but never really heard from them again without _painstaking_ efforts on our part. No list of contractors for fascia. No responses to emails. No responses to phone and text. Our rep had left the company, which happens, but we were completely let slip through the cracks. We never were on the schedule, never found a way for a third-party contractor to work with them (like we were assured would be easy or handled for us), and NEVER contacted by Apple. We finally sent an email the general inquiry address and heard back, but they still didn't have us scheduled and never helped us fix the fascia issue. We asked for our deposit back and were told that we were breaking the contract and forced to pay a fee because of it. They also said (with zero evidence) that they had attempted to contact us after the rep left, but that's simply not true. So, instead of doing the right thing to try and fix the situation, they blamed it on us. I'd find someone else. read more

Needed a new roof. They came out and gave me a quick estimate. Bobby was very easy to work with and very knowledgeable. They came out and did an excellent job. Thinking I would need to do cleanup before letting my dogs out, found out they already did a great job. I have had other roofing companies do work in the past, and I was surprised at the lack of mess left behind. They used great materials and it looks great. I highly recommend them. They do a great job and you will be impressed. If you need a new roof, give Bobby a call. He is awesome. read more

Absolutely THE WORST company I've ever had to deal with. Apple roofing has terrible customer service. Once you sign that contract, you don't hear from them again. It's up to you as a paying customer to initiate every contact, EVEN TO PAY YOUR BILL! They show up whenever they want (completely going against the agreed upon dates). They don't even knock on your door saying, hi I'm so and so from Apple roofing and we're going to be doing this today. They inconvenience the home owner at every opportunity. I had a HORRIBLE experience with Apple Roofing. They did shoddy work leaving a ragged edge to my shingles and damage to my fascia during installation. Even after personally speaking to Dustin the owner, they failed to completely fix the all problems with their installation within a reasonable amount of time (6 months). Instead of using a conveyor to place shingles on my roof, the workers threw the heavy bags onto the roof causing damage to my interior ceiling and the light fixtures to fall. They also failed to notify me when they would start work and starting a month earlier than stated. They didn't properly supervise their workers and left a mess including 9 nails in my driveway. When I complained, they promised to fix the problems but failed to follow up on their "fixes" or even check with me afterwards to see if they were acceptable. I took pictures and contacted them repeatedly about problems with their installation. After 6 months, they still hadn't completed their fixes, but insisted on being paid in full or they would place a lien on my property. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN! read more
