The manager is cool about getting stock in other stores for you, if another location is closer to you. Hurricane Helene flooded this location & entire shopping center, so I am sad. I don't know if they will rebuild there. I am sure they lost everything. I feel bad for them. Their Tunnel Rd store was awesome though and opened with no power for cash sales even in those first few days where we couldn't find food, water and gas. We were so appreciative of them. All my neighbors go there now, too and they all rave about them.

On the flipside though, there are obvious communication issues between management and staff, and even between the staff members themselves. On more than one occasion, they've had a sign posted that promises a discount on certain items. But when you get to the register, the discount doesn't ring up and the staff acts like they know nothing about it. Another time, an employee told me to stop by the next morning because they were getting a big shipment and there would be free samples. But when I came back and asked about it, the guy looked at me like I had three heads. I don't mean to keep piling on here, but the staff also seem to lack any knowledge of the products they are selling. If I have a question about something, no one can answer it or make suggestions. They are mostly nice about it, but it gets to be a little frustrating. I suppose if you go in here knowing exactly what you want -- and you're willing to ignore the advertised discounts -- this place would be great. As it stands, however, I hope the management sees what's going on and improves upon it.

I will now explain why we are no longer going to be supporting this company, this company we have seen a change of leadership many many times over the years and to be honest I don't think it has gotten better I think it has gotten worse. But that's only one part of this review it has come to my knowledge that the leadership of the store decided to change the system over to something new and the points system that we all knew and loved was done for. So if you had accounts like myself and my boyfriend these accounts have now been deleted and destroyed and your points are gone. They tried to tell my boyfriend that they let everyone know on social media etc.... So I went to look for the big social media post after learning that my account as a long time loyal customer with over 5,000 points saved was destroyed I wanted to know when this announcement got posted. Well to my surprise they have created new pages for the vapor world Facebook page and I went in and had to scroll pretty far back because Aparently this change over happened a while back I finally located the post back on the date of January 8th, 2026 there was only 1 post made about how you had until the end of January to use your points or loose them. After finding all this information out my boyfriend and myself have come to the conclusion that we will no longer be supporting Vapor World especially since they can't and won't be bothered to honor their long time loyal customers who have been shopping there for a years. I am very upset and frustrated with how this all went down. As customers who have bought many products over the years and getting to know the owners and the workers and loosing out on those points that were awarded at 1 point per dollar spent and your not even honoring your long time loyal customers, well today you now loose not 1 but 2 loyal customers. Saw a shirt in the window the night before I wanted to buy for my stepdaughter. Came back the next…read moreday at 11:15, but the shop was still closed even though window hours said they open at 11. That probably should have been a clue about the type of service they provide. I came back an hour later to try to get the shirt. The store was 100% EMPTY except for the guy behind the counter. Politely asked if he minded me taking my mask off while no one else was there because I have a documented medical condition (legally exempt from the mandate) that makes it hard for me to breathe. From across the store, he told me no. I tried to explain to him I legitimately have a condition and medical documentation I could show him and that I put the mask back on if anyone else comes into the store. He told me to keep the mask on or get out. He didn't give me a reason for why he had a problem. He didn't offer me an alternative, he just was rude. Then, as I left, he sarcastically yelled out for me to "have a nice day". I've made the same request at other stores, and have NEVER been denied because I only ask when there are no other customers in the store. I even openly disclose my condition instead of just saying I'm exempt because I want them to know I'm not just trying to break the rules. It wasn't because it was an "Asheville thing" because three other stores were OK with it as long as no one else was around. I don't go in trying to cause problems. I don't try to make a statement. I just try to give my business to local shops who are willing to work with me and my disability. Once I stopped crying and shaking from the unexpected confrontation, I took my money to another store. One who helped me out instead of being intolerant and hateful. So, if you want to give your business to a place with staff who bullied a woman with an incurable disease when there was absolutely no reason to be a jerk, they may have stuff worth buying. But hey, I probably gave him a chance to brag to people how he got to throw an anti-masker out of the store. Glad one of us got something positive out of exchange.

He was able to answer every question I had for him, and he offered me some suggestions based on what I had mentioned while talking to him and ended up with a perfect glass piece for me and some legal CBD concentrate. We also left with an awesome dragon incense holder. Pair the great selection with the incredible customer service and you have a recipe for the best shop I've visited to date.
