Times Square Church - A Sanctuary in the Heart of the City (with the Best Choir and the Sweetest…read moreUshers) I've been attending Times Square Church for 12 years now, and honestly--I'm still as moved today as I was the very first time I walked in. I'll never forget it: I was welcomed by an usher who gave me the kind of hug that said, "You're home now." No side-eyes, no judgment--just love, warmth, and a seat in a beautiful space where I could experience the service at my own pace (and catch my breath from walking through Times Square--because whew). The music? Absolutely incredible. The choir will have you praising, swaying, and maybe even forgetting you're wearing those new shoes that weren't made for dancing. It's joyful, powerful, and real--and you don't need to know the words to feel the Spirit. Services are held at 10 AM and 1 PM, so whether you're an early bird or the kind who needs that second cup of coffee (no judgment--I've been both), there's room for you. And yes--they even have discounted parking if you get your ticket stamped. Because even in New York, Jesus is still helping you save. From programs for children to ministries for adults, the church is full of life, love, and purpose. Everyone is treated with kindness and respect. It's a place where people grow, laugh, cry, heal--and worship together. So if you're looking for a church that feels like family, sounds like heaven, and welcomes you just as you are--come through. You just might leave with a full heart, a new friend, and a joyful song stuck in your head all week.

There are two 329.5-foot spires which were completed in 1888, briefly making it the tallest building in New York City. Tuckahoe marble from New York and Massachusetts covers the exterior; the building has 103 windows and over 2,800 stained-glass panels. Yes! This is a top notch Catholic Church. The only one I feel as welcome as I do at Saint Patricks…read more It reminds me so much of the church where I raised my daughter. The alter has been brought down to the center of the beautiful historic building. The parishioners sit in a semi circle around the alter. The priests and chorus are behind. I was on the side today but felt included. The mass is modern and prayers for everything and everyone. If you want something/someone included during mass you just fill out a paper and let them know. The mass is simple. The responses are sung. I enjoy the chorus. My friend is in the chorus. In fact my family has attended this church in the past. I've got a lot of musicians in my family that made their living playing orchestra in the shows. But that's another story! The church design and decor are so beautiful. There are a lot of angels painted on the the walls. They do not mind picture taking. I'll go back for service and take pictures of the Angels I'm sure!! I see people of every age, elderly, middle age, people in work uniforms, small children, college age, teens and expectant mothers. You name it everyone is covered. They have plenty of room for strollers to be wheeled in the back. Parents walk and rock to quiet babies during service. I find their dedication to attend mass inspiring. Dress is not important. I saw one girl in zebra print work out pants. What I'm trying to say is, this is not an elitist church like some I attend. It's not a wealthy Parrish I'm sure. They pass the baskets two times for donations. I highly recommend if you are in the neighborhood!! Visitors are welcome.

The way he preaches is quite off since he is always off topic, brags about his accomplishments a lot and say something offensive to people that many people weren't happy about. Plus, he always looks how much money we put in for the mass collection and even times, he upsets people when he is pushy and pressures people to do his way of something when operating the mass. The music is disappointing because the woman who sings there, doesn't put her heart into the songs. She was the only one that sings with the pianist. A lot of people I knew who were in that community and myself had to turn away from this church ever since Ato operates the church weirdly. Even there is one time, I came to mass and there's only 4 people left. Where there's no music, no positivity and all. Ato said something offensive that triggers me when he preaches and the prayers is very different compare to the original prayers that we normally pray. I felt so lost and everything wasn't aligned. Just a disappointing experience..
