These need to be in the darn garbage! Why sell this to anybody!
Jeanette A.

Ok I like this store because it's convenient it's across the street from where I live and having no car it's just convenient for me especially on days that it's way to cold to wait for a bus. However, I can't trust the veggies there because IF they look good trust me if you don't use it that day it's not going to be any good two days later. They sell us the lowest grade veggies ever like we are dogs and they need to do better, if you do better Apollo Market your sales will go up put decent veggies AND fruits there and people will buy it we know you do this because you know some people cant get out the hood to go get better stuff guess what Uber goes everywhere! I now go to Randazzos for my fruits and veggies because it lasts longer, I got a seedless cucumber from Randazzos a week and a half ago it's still perfect to use, had this been Apollo Market it would have spoiled. It's horrible the stuff they sale us! They prepackage alot of the veggies then jack the prices up! How you gone jack prices up AND prepackage the stuff not giving us a choice to choose what we want from it! Your packaging crap that is already bad.Buy better stuff we are not animals and we ain't stupid we know when stuff is rotten or spoiled! I bought pretty ground beef a month ago put it in the fridge to cook the next day it had turned grey, really! So you sold me spoiled me but was able some how to make it look pink to sell it! They do be having good 1.00 sales on things you wouldn't expect to be a dollar but that fruit and veggie section needs help. All the other stuff people are saying here on Yelp I haven't experienced. I do know if you come in with a bag you need to leave it behind the counter because some people will steal there so I don't blame them for that. The bread selection is huge you need to go when it's stocked I have never had a issue with the bread. The meats are stocked don't buy the fish from the meat section I got sick off of it last year it was my first and last time buying fish from them there is a fresh fish place across the street from them go there for fish. All the other stuff, like eggs the prices are jacked up for large eggs only and milk prices are high and butter prices. The freezer section I hardly buy any of that stuff unless there is dollar sale on something. Check all your dates on everything you buy, oh and they do have good sales on prepacked lunch meats like Ericrich brand and Bacon even Beef bacon sometimes they have a large selection of all kinds of hot dogs and hard to find sausages also. I've posted some pics to show you the rotten stuff they try to sell. Oh and that bakery stuff one Yelper spoke on maybe it was good back then but now all you going to get is frozen bakery stuff they have cakes bday cakes other pastries but who want that frozen that's horrible if I'm eating baked goods I want my stuff freshly made but to each his own I'm never paying all that money for frozen cakes!

Apollo is an ok store. Some things are good deals, but some things are not. It's clean inside and out.

It used to have a produce section, right in front of the front windows, a space now occupied by stacks and stacks of La Croix cases. I'm no fan of La Croix and I eat an apple and/or a banana most days but I can imagine how the current arrangement is working out better for their bottom line. They used to have kombucha on tap, something that had been sitting unused for awhile and was just recently removed. That was just laughably hipster to me. I'll drink kombucha in the bottle sometimes, which MM still has in their fridge, and I just had to wonder, do you really need kombucha on tap? Obviously, it turns out you don't. This market is on the small side, just packed with stuff, and they stay open late. It's what I imagine a New York City bodega is like. They have more energy drink selections than anyone should need and a very Detroit amount of blunt wraps behind the register. Backwoods and the like take up most of that wall. MM has the same mediocre prepackaged sandwiches, wraps and pasta salads as Marcus Market and I feel like I should know the name of the company that puts them together by now. For convenience sake I often grab em as sustenance on the way to work. They're nothing special but they get me through the day. Midtown Market has nowhere near the floor space, selection or general charm of Marcus, though, and it actually felt disloyal to use the abbreviation MM to refer to Midtown Market earlier in this review. They're friendly enough here, but me and the Marcus crew go way back and again, no cat is hurting this young upstart here. The thing is, Midtown Market is a little less out of my way going into work and that crucial five minutes can make me late, so I often find myself in here. Midtown Market ain't bad for what it is, they have a few staples here but if you're looking for more of a full on grocery store (with freshly made smoothies and tacos during certain hours) try the neighborhood OG market like 3 blocks away.

The store is small but there is something for every need. It's not far from Wayne State's campus so this is the perfect area for a little market. The clerks are friendly and always responsive. This very densely packed market has narrow aisles and shelves that extend to just about the limit…read moreof what I can reach. But for those who live in Bricktown or Greektown or perhaps you're staying at one of the nearby hotels, it's got what you need. Everything from snacks and drinks to laundry detergent and fresh meats. There's barely enough room for two people to pass down an aisle so be prepared. But for us, looking for beers and some spirits to enjoy back at the hotel? Just what we needed. I got some Meat from them Spent 155 for Labor Day…read more But when I opened the meat Package It was so spoiled I went up there and the Manager gave me Major attitude wouldn't give me back my money Lied about the meat not being Spoiled And said it's my fault I got the meat I am a Single Mother who tried to do or first holiday with My family and a few early I asked for a Job And he going to ask me how can I work and I have a Child,Bad Meat and Bad Customer Service

I purchased 20lbs of chitterlings 5lbs each for the holiday…read moreon 12.18.2021 (Christmas) The day before Christmas Eve I let them thaw completely now here Christmas Eve that morning 5am i open only 3 packs and put in water to start cleaning them once I started to clean them I notice what appeared to be freezer burn on them (only a few tho) so I just tossed those few away in the trash And said hey it shouldn't hurt once it cooked especially with them being $30 each didn't just want them to go to waist , besides I thru most of the freezer burn away! So once cleaned now about 7am I put my chitterling pot on let heat for a minute then put in my chitterling and an 2hrs into cooking I added my red onion red pepper green pepper salt/ black pepper put the top on and let it cook for almost 4hrs W gradually checking on it in between time Each time I checked on them they was cooking as they should but now here it is down to the last hr of cooking I go to check on the and the bubbles are bubbling like hot lava (yes! Hot lav) so now at this point it's only 3 1/2 hrs when I usually cook them for four hours sometimes five.. so my reaction was that dang freezer burn and heck no, not these $30 chitterling they was sooooo slimy I couldn't believe it! This has nvr happened ever! I just thought that I would share my story Because when I went up to the market to tell my story and to see if they could give me some type of credit due to the fact of me spending $120on chitterlings they didn't even want to hear my story nor did they want to see the video that I recorded or the receipts And just plainly told me there's nothing they can do about it once there open that's it This was a market that I go weekly/monthly Im so disappointing how they handle my situation Sadly today was and will be my last time shopping here We're not talking about $5 or $10 being a waste, we're talking about $120 being a waste For future please do not purchase your chitterlings from this market you might get a bad batch! And it's nothing they can do about it Btw this was the Manager words

Indian spices/prepackaged foods, convenience store goods, some staple groceries…read more Newish location for this oldish area favorite (on Wayne campus, just north of Warren at Anthony Wayne - parking can be a pain in the ass during class hours). A place to find whole and ground spices prevalent in Indian cuisine, in addition to ghee, many oil, rice, and flour options, and a large variety of prepackaged and quick-to-prepare Indian stovetop kits (I don't really care for these items, when making your own homemade dinners takes less than an hour in most cases - but if really pinched for time and craving certain flavors, have at it). You can also get convenience store dependables (junk foods, pantry tins/jars, plastic cups/cutlery, etc), and eggs, milk, butter, and a few kinds of produce in the back (i noticed okra). Where Meijers failed me (in my hunt for mustard seed oil and chick pea flour), Little Asia Mart saved the day. Worth taking a peek around.

Expensive little place, taking advantage of the fact that they are on campus…read more I don't want to criticize them for their approach towards business, as they make it easy for students without cars and other transportation to have access to Indian and other Asian food and vegetables. However, they do have. Very limited stock and the prices keep on increasing as months are passing by. The staff is friendly and helps you navigate through. The place is a bit too small to hold up more than what it already does. Vegetables are normally fresh and I have never had any issues with the things I have bought here. But a gallon of milk $4.95 is a bit too much considering university foods sell it for $3.95 which is about 0.5 mile away. They do have other convenience store items here as well.
