We came as a group of 9 and played against ourselves. You are assigned one "referee" who accompanies you throughout your time there. We got the membership because you get a 5% discount on the paintballs and since we were a large group, the math just made sense (9 asians, mostly in finance, so you can trust the math). We opted for the camo suits for 10$ and some got 10$ gloves. You start off by watching a short 5min video in a living room with couches and sofas. Several arenas as well as battlegrounds in the woods. Lots of different scenarios to choose from including hunger games, speedball, capture the flag. The ref was very nice in explaining the rules. A bus takes you to and from the woods, and also brings compressed air refills. The system they have going is very efficient so you waste minimal time commuting and more time shooting. There's also a bachelor's game scenario, where the bachelor runs across the field while the grooms party shoots at him.... OVERALL: As a firs time paintballer, I would definitely come again....

The staff are very friendly and helpful in instructing and keeping everyone safe! Anyone of any age can come and have fun. I recommend wearing long sleeves and pants and a pair of old shoes. You'll definitely get down and dirty! I left with paint all over my clothes, face, and hair. For people with long hair, I recommend tying it up or in braids. Don't worry, the paint balls don't hurt but you'll get red marks on your body but no bruises! Do come an hour early to sign in and get your equipment. It took us awhile to get situated and geared up so we lost about an hour of game time. Otherwise, we still had a great time and will be scheduling another time to come again.

They have 7 outdoor fields and it was A LOT bigger than I thought it would be!!!!! I participated in 2 games, which was plenty for me and my old bones. This was my second time ever playing, and at first I was so scared but the serious-players made me feel very comfortable and I ended up overcoming some fears on the battlefield. The day after, my quads were aching and I realized I had the workout of a lifetime! This would be so fun with a large group, and I will definitely be back for more.

Running deer is a pretty interesting course that will test you tee to green then crush your spirits…read moreonce you've gotten to the green. We've finally made it out to the deer after planning a couple trips through the summer. Unfortunately for us it's fall so the course isn't in pristine shape but it's better than most even still. Our $40 walking rate was reasonable and from the get go you're aware you're in for a challenge. The fairways are not clearly defined, how the rough is cut is kind of like a jig saw with very rarely a straight sight line on the left or right, in a couple holes the fairway flat out disappears and you're in rough grasses or as the case on 9, an enormous waste bunker, that bunker is like you're standing on the moon. An interesting feature but since it's firm sand it plays like a fairway. Bunkers this time around hadn't been raked in a while but it's out of season so I understand that. They are very playable though, easy to hit longer shots as well as delicate ones. I love bunkers that allow me to choose a shot rather than just dig it out. The greens at running deer is where the course shines. They are medium to large greens with an incredible amount of undulation. They were fast enough even though its fall that makes me wonder what they are like in summer. A few trips around and you'll have an idea where to play to for better scoring chances. There was almost nobody there while we were playing so I have no real reviews of staff other than the assistant that checked us in and he was certainly nice enough. Running deer is a solid track, having some local knowledge of the greens and the fairways that are cut off and disappear in a few places is vital. We definitely look forward to another trip to the deer!

The hole layout is visible from the tees on pretty much every hole with only a couple hidden hazards out there. Once you've played from the generous fairways to the greens that's where things get challenging. The greens are the main defense here, so many reads have the appearance of movement one way when actually they go the other. The staff at hidden creek do everything they can to accommodate your requests. The dining room staff handles their service effortlessly and the food in the restaurant is very good.
