Markeith, the business owner, has years of tree cutting & tree climbing experience. His team also has years of experience and they have worked together for a long time making their communication on the job extremely efficient especially considering all the literal moving parts for the job I needed done. They took down branches up to 80 feet high off of 10 trees and expertly felled 4 more trees. I enjoyed watching them climb the trees and using the bucket lift. Markeith explained how he is able to climb up hard wood trees and not damage them but using the bucket is needed to preserve the health of softer trees like beech and pine as climbing can damage them although there are spikeless techniques he can use when required. He also showed me how fungus effects the trees and I was impressed by his knowledge. They were recommended by a family friend and although they are out of Ravena they had no problem servicing the 7 acre plot of land I needed worked on in Saratoga County. They price match and came in under the 4 other quotes I got and I'm certain they did more work than any of the other operations I received quotes from would have done. I'm very happy I chose these guys. They have 9 other 5 star reviews on Yelp that show up as "not recommended" for some reason. I will definitely use these guys again!

Overall, they're extremely professional, personable and they did exactly what they said they were going to do and stood by their initial estimate even though I added a bush to be removed at the last minute. Definitely would recommend these guys.

There were a lot of trees, bushes, and flowers in close proximity to where they were working, but they were careful not to hurt other trees and plantings in the vicinity. We're extremely impressed with their work. Their prices are very competitive. I highly recommend them and would hire them again in a heart beat.

We hired Advantage Tree Service to remove a large dead branch, with multiple offshoots, from the…read morehuge locust tree in our front yard. At that time, we thought it was a straightforward job. It was not until the day of removal that we learned how complex the removal was. We watched the whole thing from our upstairs bedroom window. A team of five men was assigned to this job: Tyler, Nate, Carlos, Theo, and Jude. In addition to a chainsaw, there were three larger machines needed for the removal and disposal of the large branch: a cherry picker truck; a skid steer; and a chipper. It was quite an event. The operator of the cherry picker, Tyler, took time to assess the situation before he began. He had to very carefully lift and navigate the bent arm of the cherry picker to cut and remove each limb of the dead branch without getting the arm of the cherry picker tangled in the many other branches of the locust tree or in the branches of the neighboring birch tree. This did not appear to be an easy thing to do, but Tyler did it carefully and successfully without getting caught up in the branches and without damaging them. In addition, Tyler had to avoid hitting the power line from the house to the street with the machine and when dropping the cut sections of the dead branch. Again, he was successful with this. To avoid damage to themselves, their equipment, activity on the street, and our property, each of the five workers needed to constantly be aware of their physical positions during the job. They were. Clearly, safety was a top priority. The men did a thorough job cleaning up our driveway and yard afterwards. They left no trace. We can now feel safe knowing the dead branch that was hanging precariously over our driveway no longer has the potential to fall and cause injury to someone or our property. We certainly learned a great deal by watching these skilled, competent workers successfully finish the job and now have a newfound appreciation and respect for the work they do. Kudos to them! We give Advantage Tree Service a full five-star rating and recommend them highly.

Take a look at what they did to MY property. Their machines not only ruined our seal coating, they cracked the blacktop in a couple of places. We weren't home when they finished so we didn't see it until they were long gone. No note, no anything, to be sure we were ok with what they'd done. Had to ask our neighbors who they were. Classic example of the saying, "No good deed goes unpunished." After speaking with the Advantage Tree Service sales rep on this project he grudgingly acknowledged that he should have talked to me about bringing his commercial grade equipment onto my residential grade blacktop but that's about all. They think it will be fine after a few rainstorms (I don't) so we may end up with attorneys involved, which is really unfortunate; it seems pretty obvious how they could make this right but don't seem inclined to actually do it. There's a reason they only have a 3 star rating.

This is a two part testimonial for Northern Tree Service, the first time I needed their service in…read moreMarch of 2020 I had a large maple tree come down on my house. I reached out to John and he was here that afternoon to access the fallen tree and how best to get it off of my house. He gave me a price to remove the entire tree, haul away all of debris and grind out the stump. Mind you this tree was every bit of 6' at the base and was not a small task. The very next day John and his crew were at my house clearing the tree that was against the structure taking every measure not to do any further damage. Once that was done they proceeded to take the rest of the tree down taking every precaution to minimize damage to my yard. Once the tree was down and removed they ground out the stump, raked up and left as little impact as they possibly could considering the scope of the job. A month later I had the misfortune of finding a huge crack in in a 120' tall pine tree that looked to be ready to let go at any moment and that too would have made a direct hit on my home. I called John and he was at my house that very same day to look at the job. He secured the tree with straps at the cracked portion and assured me he would rearrange his schedule and get here that Saturday to start the removal of the tree as this was a priority. Well John and his crew did NOT show up on Saturday, they showed up earlier on Friday because we were due for a storm on Saturday and John did not want to leave it to chance for that tree to come down. He climbed that tree and limbed it off to reduce the exposure it would have during the storm. He returned that Sunday with his crew and proceeded to take the rest of the tree down, chipped it up and when they left at the end of the day you couldn't ask for a neater job. If you need a tree removed this is with-out a doubt the most professional, on time, reactive company out there that will do a quality job and you will get the best value for your money and I am willing to put my name to this testimonial. They took payment for the whole job at that time, even though it wasn't complete.
