He used a drone, took pictures, and identified the area where the leak could be. He found the area in the attic, caulked it, and listened to me as I cried my thanks. Definitely not a scam. After they finished installing them they left without asking if it looked okay. When I went out to check their work, it wasn't even 10% similar to how I had requested them to lay it out. I called the owner who requested the workers to come back. Once they did they were very annoyed and short with me on what it was I wanted. I drew out a picture of exactly how they were laid out the first time and they said they understood and would fix it. They then did ask me to check their work, which was still completely wrong and nothing like the picture. They asked what was wrong and I explained again while reviewing the picture yet again, then I went back in the house. They proceeded to pack up their tools and leave without fixing at all. I was still charged almost a thousand dollars for something that was never done correctly and I had to completely dig up and replant myself.

Some customers just can't be "made happy" despite a person's best efforts so I'd never hold that against him. Most of his crew has been with him for a while now and in this line of work where employee churn is a reality, that's saying something. His office provides good estimates, though they can sometimes be less detailed than I like (we're working on that). The main thing is that the estimates are accurate. They have no supervisor watching, they don't know the difference between a bush and a tree. They leave cut grass all over the sidewalks, do not pick up any kind of pruning or weeding debris and their grass cutters whizz though like they're in a race leaving a lousy job behind. The overall attitude of their workers is awful. Maybe they aren't getting paid enough, but that is not an excuse for poor service. They did the same thing to the complex behind us. So I know it wasn't just our service that was lousy. My advice - don't use them! They obviously have very little knowledge and provide awful service.

The next day I received an estimate that included everything (topsoil, mulch, delivery, and the actual work) at a very reasonable price. The work was scheduled around my schedule, something the other estimates would not do. He estimated that the entire project would take 3 - 4 hours to complete. Even with the delivery of the topsoil running a little late, the project was completed in about 3 1/2 hours. Good start. No follow through. We hired Josh and Kelsey to…read moreplant two lines of trees, put an irrigation system in place and take care of the trees for one year so they were properly watered in their first year of life. We aren't tree experts, but it looked like they did a good job on planting and installing the system, and we were excited about their approach to the irrigation requirements, and for that we are grateful. As far as caring for the trees for one year, beginning 9/14/24, it started out well. However, as the year progressed they stopped sending pictures (even after we spoke about it with a follow up phone call), and seemingly stopped caring for the trees altogether. They have been absolutely unreachable for months via text, phone (full voicemail), two email addresses, two Facebook pages and a Yelp message. We don't know what they may have going on in their family, but we would hope they could at least communicate with us if something significant came up. At this point it looks like the lines are clogged, trees are uprooting, water deprived and sickly. We trusted them to do the job, and they seem to have taken advantage of this trust we placed in them. We hope to still talk with them so they can make it right, but right now it looks like they took our money and reneged on the contract.
