Victor construction initially told me they would be replacing my roof as well as my gutters. However, only the roof got replaced. When questioned, they claimed it was a clerical error on their part and did not do anything to correct this. Not only that, but the roofers ran into my garage door causing it to need to be replaced. Victor Construction took very little accountability, making the roofer pay for the new door out of pocket. When I asked Victor roofing if they were insured, I never got an answer which increased my anxiety about the situation. After a week, the door was finally fixed but I had to make a lot of phone calls to get progress made. I also did not have the contact information of the person who broke the garage door for several days. As a first time home buyer and being new to this type of work, I felt taken advantage of during this whole situation. When my realtor tried to communicate with Victor Construction themselves, they were ignored and I was called because I had less experience dealing with these types of issues. This was a four day job and they arrived exactly on time each day and efficiently worked to accomplish what they needed to (then left for the day, so probably only in the house about 4 hrs/day) - two days of prep/ painting, a day to dry and final day to ensure everything looked great and reassemble the island. They were meticulous about ensuring anything around the painted area wouldn't be damaged (ie: counter tops, floors). Other two levels on top are 10' ceilings. It's tall, it's tough to paint. From the paint crew, there was virtually no paint prep beyond pressure washing the house before spraying with paint. The caulk around the windows has already failed three months later, nail holes are clearly visible, our metal roof is dented everywhere they stood and put ladders on it, our agreement that they would remove and replace all rotten wood amounted to the crew taking out one board and leaving enough shrapnel of that board on our roof to clog the gutter twice. They did take out another board when called back out. I think we need to completely repaint the house. Incredibly disappointed. We called them out I think three times to fix damage and re-caulk nail holes and still.... it just looks crappy. I should have turned back when I found out there was no contract to sign.

We got several recommendations from friends and neighbors, listened to several proposals and got some bids and decided on Green River Roofing. These guys are great. Dennis, the owner, was involved in the entire process. We received the most comprehensive estimate from his company, very detailed. It was also very resonable compared to several of the other companies. We were able to add in some extras, like insulation and a solar tube (he also does gutters, but we had already replaced them when we moved in). The workers were quick, the entire roof was done in under 3 days. They cleaned up the outside completely- we only found 1 set of nails left behind. Dennis thought that the plaster in our master bath had gotten cracked from the workers during the install and so he had his drywall team come in and repair our ceiling and repaint it at no cost to us. We payed 1/2 on the first day, most of the rest on the final day of installing the roof and the final payment after his drywall guys finished fixing our master bath. I've recommend him to my Dad and he hired him to replace a few roofs and do guttering on his rental houses and was equally impressed with Dennis. So if you are in need of a new roof, guttters, siding, windows or a new deck - call these guys and get an estimate. You won't be disappointed.

They fixed it in a timely manner and everything seemed to be as expected until we found that him and his crew had built the wall crushing one of her electricity lines causing her to lose power to 75% of the house. My mom is 86, and every time she had him help her, he would give her a price and by the time he was done, he had charged her triple than what he quoted her. We had used Melvin for a couple other jobs, fixing my mom's car and working on the water line in the basement. When he worked on the water line, he quoted her $1200. She told him she is on a fixed income and she could not spend more than $900. Melvin said ok and continued the work. When he was finished he came up and handed my mom a bill for $1700. My mom told him she didn't have that and he told her to take out a heloc loan On her home. He then texted her every week moving forward with an arrow and the total amount of $1700 circled. He was harassing her. When we found out about the electricity, We called Melvin because he promised us, he guarantees all of his work for life. We had told him that we had 3 other companies come out to test for the electricity and we had been shown 3 times it was crushed under the wall and the only lights that worked in my moms house were in the bedroom. It cost $5000 to fix it and Melvin told us he did not want to do the work, hire one of the companies and he would split it with my mom. My mom is 86 years old. This was in February. After calling Melvin every week for 3 months, he finally called my mom in May and paid her $1115. Still to this day, he has not paid her the other $1115 that he owes her. My mom is the sweetest lady and she has really struggled financially trying to stay in her home until she dies, and this man took such advantage of her, after he sat and prayed with her telling her she was family. This is a scam particularly on older people who don't have any idea what truly needs to be fixed. I would not trust him or recommend this company to anyone.

They installed wrong flooring in entire house. Left live electrical wires in the walls which could have burned down our home. Our shower floor doesn't drain because the floor is uneven. kitchen cabinets weren't finished. They flooded our dry basement and ruined it.
