So what did I do? I paid it and had it done (as a responsible car-owner). My fiance came in for an oil change-- and you'd never guess-- HIS car also needed a new plug gasket for $900. He declined. Neither of these experiences were enough for me to post this review-- but last week the AC went out in my car. I found a reliable auto company to give me an estimate to repair. Turns out I needed a new compressor-- the other company's estimate was $1499. I brought my car here for the second opinion. I called before coming and they told me they would give me an estimate free of charge-- mind you it also says on the front door they offer free AC Inspections and free estimates. They raised my car and spent about 10-15 minutes checking it out and then dropped the hammer. The compressor was shot (same diagnosis as the 1st company) which was what I was expecting. The cost to repair?? $4200!! I told them that was way too much and they explained this was the OEM price and they needed to use OEM to give the best repair. When they saw me ready to walk, they offered the repair with non OEM parts and that would be $2000. Still being 25% more than the other quote I opted to not have the service done there. They worked up my paper estimate and told me my balance was $89.99. Like wtf? I told them I was told the diagnostic would be free-- and it's literally advertised on their front door as free. Needless to say, they waived the fee, and I had my compressor completed by the other guys for $1499. Lesson learned.

There is a fee if you're using a debit/credit card. It was done in a very timely manner although there was a couple people in front of us and having two vehicle smog checks done we were in and out within an hour. NOW... never in my life getting a smog check has the place done any type of other Inspection. At first I was grateful. Then I was told that I would immediately need work on my motor mounts. I was told that for just over $1500 they would take care of this for me. They marked this as "urgent" on my paperwork and explained it as such. When I got back into my vehicle, I realize there was not a noise to be heard and generally with motor mounts, you hear some type of rattle or something inside of the cab. I took my vehicle immediately for a second opinion, and they advised there was absolutely nothing wrong with my motor mounts! I AM NOT ONLY DISGUSTED, BUT SUPER DISAPPOINTED IN PERFECT AUTO. Two were EVAP codes, so they ran a smoke test, found the part that was actually leaking, and quoted the replacement at cost plus labor. They also suggested replacing a sensor that may have been affected by the leak, but when I asked if we could just replace the leaking part first, they were completely fine with that. The third code was related to the engine not heating up quickly enough. We had already replaced the thermostat, and they suggested replacing it again. They gave us the same straightforward part-at-cost-plus-labor quote, but I declined since that's a repair we can do at home. Again, no pressure at all. We had them do the EVAP repair, drove the car home, and checked the codes afterward, everything looks good. I'll definitely consider coming back for anything I can't diagnose or repair at home.

At a previous oil change, I was told that my serpentine belt, along with several other parts, needed to be replaced. Their quote was about $1,000 more than what I could have the work done for elsewhere, so I decided to have the other repairs completed by someone else. At my most recent oil service, the serpentine belt was brought up again as something that needed to be replaced. I told them it has been replaced and I'll get it checked out. However, shortly afterward, the employee came back and told me the mechanic had checked it again and said the belt was actually fine. That immediately made me question things. Then, while checking out, I was asked if there was anything else I needed to have replaced. I was taken aback by that because this company has normally been very proactive about inspecting my vehicle and telling me what they believe needs attention or the integrity of my car overall. I shouldn't have to ask what my vehicle needs...that's part of why I bring it to professionals I trust. I understand that recommending preventative maintenance can come from good intentions. However, this experience left me wondering whether some of the previous recommendations were truly necessary or whether I was being upsold. Do they do a good job with the services they perform? Sure. But when I trust a company with my vehicle, I also need to trust that the repairs being recommended are actually necessary and that the pricing is fair. Unfortunately, once that trust is lost, it's difficult to continue doing business with a company. This will be my likely be my last time here.

Owner put his finger in my face and yelled at me after I came back about lights he caused…read more I brought my 2005 Sienna in for a passenger airbag light. I told them I had unplugged the seat. Instead of checking the connectors first, they jumped straight into a calibration. After a long wait they said they couldn't finish because something else was wrong under the seat and wanted another $188 just to take the seat out and diagnose. I took the van back, found a second plug that wasn't fully connected, plugged it in, and the airbag light went off. No calibration needed. While they were hooked up they started a calibration they didn't finish, which turned on the VSC and TRAC lights that were not on when I arrived. I called to have those cleared since they created them. The owner interrupted me, yelled, put his hands in my face, and told me not to come back after it was fixed. Either they missed a simple unplugged connector or they were trying to sell a $188 diagnosis for a plug. Terrible communication and worse attitude. I fixed the original problem myself in minutes after they spent hours and still wanted more money.
