So I tried to get my hearing aids serviced by King thru Oticon.   King sent them in but the repair…read morewas going to be higher than I was willing to pay and I had them returned.  Meanwhile I asked about new ones and I was guoted between $5700 to $ 6700.  I felt that was a little high and I asked if that was the best he could do?  He gave me a blank stare and said "that is the price" period.  IHis short retort shocked me because I know some of his competition has some wiggle room on prìce.....  I didn't argue, but wondered why he didn't suggest other brands or options.   I then checked with AARP and my medical advantage plan to learn that I could get aids for a deductible up to $1400 depending what I got, including Oticon.    I signed up and UnitedHealth asked me to select a provider for the hearing test..  Surprise!  King is not a provider but it didn't sound like UnitedHealth was opposed to using them.  So I asked if he  was interested  in pursuing it but said  they weren't.  I pressed him a little to check with his management out of the Springs, but he said "that's a big Insurance company I'm sure I'd know...   I left it that. Little does he know that I was ready to pay $500 for a hearing test....but not if he was going to be  jerk!      My impression is that this company is NOT  in the business to provide a great product and satisfaction to the customer.  They are in it for the sales commission which is an "old school" way of doing business.  I do not recommend this hearing provider.
