Charlie has done repairs on all our major appliances throughout the years. He has ALWAYS done exemplary work for us. HONEST!!! This morning he was to come look at our 11 year old LG refrigerator. Before he arrived he called to say that he was 99% sure of what was wrong and it would definitely not be worth fixing. He wanted us to know that before he came to the house and charged us his flat rate for a visit. Because of his honesty, we now can put that service call money toward a new appliance. This is the second time he has done something similar. He easily could have taken advantage of this situation and did not! In reading his reviews, I can see that people were frustrated that he did not call people back. He has an on line appointment scheduler which is very user friendly. Confirmation by e-mail is received. My experience has ALWAYS been while he may not call and chat which makes you feel assured he is going to take care of your appliance, he does what he needs to do and calls you when it is necessary! My 15 year old LG front loading washing machine locked shut and wouldn't drain. Miraculously Al had the pump motor in stock and replaced it. He's very busy, so I had to wait a while. But when he came, he was on time, had the diagnosis, and completed the repair in less than 2 hours! Having the pump in stock was key. Because of the age of the washer, it could have taken six weeks to order. Six weeks of laundromat! Al is personable and professional and the cost was much lower than expected. We have had Charlie fix our appliances a couple of times now. He is very knowledgeable about appliance repair and also very prompt. Before this latest visit, we did have some issues with communicating about parts. Since then, Charlie stopped working under the warranty company but he will still fix your appliance COD and the warranty company will pay us back. He explained that he stopped that relationship because they brought in a parts program that wasn't working well. Now he can use his own parts. He says that the warranty company still pays the customer promptly and that he can better service us by getting the parts he needs himself. If you look at the negative reviews, they are both about parts. Now that he has it figured out, I highly recommend Charlie from Aperture Appliance Service. read more

Absolute worst company!! Came and looked at my GE dishwasher and refrigerator on December 7th told me he was gonna order parts I didn't want to bug him through the holidays so I waited until after the new year to try and contact him again, now I've called and texted since January 3rd with no response yet. 2 weeks ago my girlfriend called from a different number.. he answered right away and says he was on the road and didn't hear his phone... really ? For the past month? And now he is avoiding her call/texts... I was trying to be nice even tho I would love to tell this guy off..! because GE told me they are the only ones in the area that service GE.. but today I called and complained and now all of a sudden there is another company.. and is actually closer to me then apperture It's unbelievable how this guy can't return a call ever.. he even says on his voicemail to text him for a faster response lmao.... he did text me on December 7 when he was on his way.. but has not responded to any of my texts since. I think maybe he didn't know how to fix the problem.. but instead of telling me that he just avoids us This is January 24th 2019 (49) days since he has been at my house I will update when or if he ever responds read more

I called to have them fix my dishwasher for a safety recall. When i gave them all the information they told me it would be a week or two before they would get the parts. after 2 weeks i left a message and then two more the week after that. They never responded. I haven't been able to use the dishwasher for 3 weeks and now i have to start over with a new company. I would have been fine with waiting if something came up for them or having them say they were unable to do it, but not responding at all is pretty unprofessional. read more

This guy is absolutely terrible! He doesn't answer his phone. He won't return phone calls. Had an appointment but never showed up. Never called to tell us that he wasn't coming. I have left multiple messages every day since and he will not return my calls. On a scale of 1 to 100 - this guy rates a big fat zero!!!!! 0;0;0. Nice fellow came to house, looked at my refrigerator gave me a price to repair it and charged me $70 for the visit. I called him back and made an appointment to have him return and make the repairs. He did not show up for the appointment and did not return my calls when I tried to contact him. So basically he charged me $70 to tell me my refrigerator was broken. If you want to be taken for $70 for nothing this is a great service, I myself do not ever plan to call him again. read more

This company was referred to me by GE appliances as the service technician to repair our appliance. I set up an appointment and the repair guy came out. Diagnosed what he believed to be the issue and said he would call us when the part came in. This was end of spring. My appliance had been used for 3 weeks. He never called us back so a month later, I called him. He said the status was pending on receiving the part. That was end of June. I started calling him again mid August. He never returned my 1st call. Or my second call. So needless to say, he has zero customer service skills. I cannot rate his ability to actually repair something because he never repaired anything nor had any courtesy to call his customer or respond to messages. I will never use this company and have told my large family and network of friends throughout Erie county, that he is unreliable and wasn't concerned with my business or having acceptable customer service skills. I have since called GE to find a new repair company. So my rating of 1 star is just so I could write this review. read more
