Caught a taxi from the airport to bring us here. Luckily there was a tiny lift up to our room. However... normal sized people, 2 can fit in it. Carmen looked at us and trying to be nonchalant said for me to go up first. Then she sent up one large suitcase which I retrieved. The plan was for hubs to come up next and she sent the other large suitcase up after him. Quick and nimble she ran up the staircase and arrived before hubs not even out of breath. Perhaps the lift was slow or she was just too fit and speedy. The shower was a glass encased transparent one right next to the bed so if you were an exotic dancer type your roommate could have better than a wet t-shirt show.

European hotel rooms are…read morenotoriously small, but with an upgrade for a slight fee, our stay in a deluxe double was more than comfortable and had a small balcony with tables and chairs overlooking the street. AC is hard to come by, but Fleming's has it in every room. Sure, you might not need it, but with temps at 84f during the day, we were very happy to find it. Beds were two singles pushed together even though a queen was requested, but, again, Europe. The other items mentioned in reviews are true. The elevator is a joke, unless you're one of those bank vacuum tubes (in which case why are you on a vacation as you're an inanimate object), and yes, reception is also a bar. However, when there is NOTHING ELSE open in the area (it's in the biz district), I'll gladly have a beer at reception. The shower and sink are in the room with you, which I'm used to from the Vegas days, but there is a curtain in case you don't want your hotel mate watching you clean yourself. Overall, a nice stay. I would certainly do it again. Bonus: complimentary breakfast in the morning was great! (eggs to order, fruit, bread, juice, cheese...)

Reception was friendly and it was accommodating that the staff knew English. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room and the whole of the hotel has a fancier feel to it. Since we came in pretty late at night, our dinner options were limited and we decided to eat in house at one of the two restaurants in the hotel. We chose the Movenpick Restaurant over the Italian restaurant because the Movenpick restaurant offered Swiss food. Despite the exorbitant price point (most main dishes were minimum of ~35 francs each), we were drawn in by the staff, Swiss appeal, and nice atmosphere of the restaurant. When asked for recommendations, the server told us our party of 8 should order 8 dishes of "Zurich style veal" 30-35 francs). This came across to me as either supreme confidence in that dish, or laziness at offering other recommendations. We decided to try the "Zurich style veal" and the "Riz Casimir". To say we were disappointed with our meals is an understatement. The "Zurich Style Veal" is essentially a humongous hash brown that is dipped in mushroom cream sauce. Bits of veal are included in the sauce, but you have to hunt around for it. I think they should rename this dish to "Zurich style Hash Brown with Cream Sauce". As for the "Riz Casimir" dish (36 francs), I had higher hopes for a dish that had been "invented and served by the Movenpick restaurant since 1952". But they should rename this dish to "Undercooked Jasmine Rice with Curry, Some Veal, and Fruit". For such a high class seeming place, the breakfast "buffet" is also lacking. You have your basic hard boiled eggs, fruit salad, bread, and cheese. Other than that, we did enjoy our stay here in terms of comfort. But unless you're here to just drop money and bounce, I'd suggest shopping around for a more wholesome and budget friendly experience.

It's on the outskirts of Zurich and located in a small village like area with very little to do nearby. Getting to the centre of town takes about 30 mins from here. It's a reasonably big hotel with lots of rooms and a conference centre. There were about 600-800 people at the conference so big enough to accommodate a large group. The rooms were a bit small (well mine was anyway) but functional. The shower was a bit weak but once again, functional. The rooms were very clean, bed was comfortable and this hotel is a non smoking facility. It's quite expensive for what it is and parking costs CHF 18 a day. The conference facilities were excellent and the staff very helpful, attentive and nice. The food quality was also good and we were served some nice meals throughout the conference. Everything worked and the wifi was also pretty good. I would happily come back here for a conference. There is a shopping centre just meters away from the hotel so you can get food and other shopping done if you need it. Public transport is also meters away and it's a nice quite area. Whilst bang for buck is small it is a nice facility.

From the fabulous restaurant, to the great size of the suites and the meeting rooms, you can find everything here. This ranks amongst the best hotels I have ever stayed in. We stayed for two nights and we had an exceptional view from the hotel room window. Our room was very nice with a big bed and lounging couch and nice bathroom. The hotel is in a perfect place for walking around the city. We could walk outside and directly to the river, that was so pleasant. We noticed the locals were jumping into the river to swim so we decided to do the same. It was brisk and refreshing!!! I overall loved visiting Zürich, it's a really cool city, and staying here was just part of that enjoyment. The Thai restaurant White Elephant was delicious and so awesome to have in the hotel.

I recently spent a seven hour layover in Zurich transiting from the States to Turkey, and while I had some trouble with my flights (no fault of the venue) that ate into my recuperation time at the Transit Hotel, I spent a wonderful four hours showering and sleeping in a real bed. Heidi, the staff member who took care of me upon arrival and check-out, was so nice, and her English was easy to understand. The price was reasonable, and while I stayed in a private room, there are couch options at a notable lower price. The space was clean and simply appointed. There was a television and sink in the room, but I didn't do anything but sleep, and I can attest--the bed was comfortable and the temperature of the room was comfortable. I'll definitely be staying here again. If only I can convince them to implement a loyalty program...
