Apache smog is a ripoff . He told me I had a code but he engine light wasn't not on . He charged me 80 dollars and failed my smog . He told me I could came back and he'd do it for 60 . Javier is liar and takes advantage of women . He told me my car needed a new transmission and he happened to have one available. I looked up the codes at O'Reilly and my car only needed a 02 sensor . My car is running fine now . 2 weeks before he charged me 600 to replace a sensor in another car . Then he said I needed a timing chain replacement for a total of 2,500. I honestly don't know how Javier sleeps at night . It's sad he takes advantage of women . I will never go to Apache smog again . read more

Javier is an asshole. Don't waste your time or money. He's left me hanging multiple times shows no remorse or emotion. I've scheduled appointments with him where he tells me what time and what day to be there and when I show up the whole shop is closed. And he always seems to be mad. Okay, so I had a buddy who got his truck smogged in this place years back and referred me because he said they're cheap. If you took a look at this place you'd think so too, but nah. My buddy told me they were dicks here, but I figured it was worth the savings since I am getting rid of that car anyway. Made the drive out from Fresno, showed up a little before noon. Went in and asked for a smog. Guy told me they were closed for lunch and to come back at 1pm. Asked if it was cool if I hung out there until then. He said, "yeah, if you wait outside." No shit! Guy ended up coming back from lunch a half hour late. Took forever to smog my car. Also kept going over and tinkering on a friend's truck who was out front in the process. Finally comes in afterwards to tell me my car didn't pass due to timing being off. Asked if that was it? He said he could diagnose any other problems for $80 and then if it is just timing it would be another $25 to adjust it. Then pay for the smog which was $51.75 ($60 for my car). And I would of had to bring my car back so he could do it (as if he didn't have time). Also charged me $41.75 for the failed smog. Guy was a fucking douche. He definitely thought he was a tough guy though. I used to work in a shop, but unfortunately don't own a timing light, nor can I smog my own car. This place was a joke. Went back to Fresno, got the timing adjusted for $25 bucks and smogged for $40 at Smog X. Whom performed a preinspection for free. Apache is a joke. I don't even know how this place is in business. Nobody besides their buddy showed up in the four hours I was there. Afterwards I looked up reviews on this place to see if anyone else had a similar experience. Found this gem below on Google and felt her experience needed to be shared too. If there was less then one star I'd give it to this place. "My car received the service I took it in for, but the person who tended to the matter was extremely rude. When I went to pick up my car he had a group of guys waiting with him and several tried to pick a fight with my boyfriend. They called me after closing hours to pick up my car and told me to hurry up and get my car before they closed. Who does that?! It is worth it to pay a little bit more for a more professional service at a better known place. I am disappointed at the unprofessional mannerism that took place there. This is the exact reason why some small businesses stay small and never prosper....poor customer relations by ignorant people. I will never go back there and do not recommend this place to anyone who wants to treated with respect or at least basic customer service without attitude." read more

This is probably the worst customer service I've ever had to deal with. Don't waste your time or money! If I can give less than 1 star I would. I wouldn't return here if my life depended on it. I didn't catch his name but he copped an attitude right off the bat just because we didn't bring a paper that he didn't even tell us to bring. Every other place never required me to bring anything, they've always sent it to the DMV electronically. I read the reviews prior to calling and just thought they caught the guy in a bad mood but nope he's very rude and doesn't know any customer service. Had my car smogged today in Sanger and, as many times before, I took it to Apache Smog, 1210 Academy Avenue in Sanger. Javier Juarigue conducted the series of tests personally and filed the "Passed" Vehicle Inspection Report directly with the State. Fast and efficient with very reasonable pricing! Crappy customer service. I decided to take my car somewhere else precisely because of this. The guy took his sweet time with the one customer that was ahead of me (unnecessarily), and when it was finally my turn he just gave me a blank condescending look. The guy needs to be taught some basic customer service skills. Glad I decided to go elsewhere. The whole experience was absolutely unwelcoming. I'd rather waste gas, drive into Fresno/Clovis, pay more for a smog then deal with the prick that owns/runs the shop. Not sure how this place stays open, I guess when there's no where else to go in town your kinda forced to go there. I'll stick with just driving into fresno. read more
